If you care for road transport of any kind, we need to vote Khan out after his comments today. Seems he will continue to punish anyone attempting to travel by any method other than cycling or walking.

If he wants to be inclusive he also needs to include the average joe / Jenny using the car and not the small Lycra brigade It can’t get more hypocritical than to celebrate the sentencing of the policeman who unlawfully killed George floyd while having done absolutely nothing to reduce stabbings / acid attacks If there were a more competent candidate than Shaun Bailey (complete basket case) would have voted for him - right now it’s a win hands down for Sadiq |

I think some of the disqualified candidates from the Brexit bill incident like Steward and Greening would have actually done quite well. I know Rory Stewart's independent run did gain a bit of traction before the delay and inevitable withdrawal, while Greening was certainly among the more popular Tories in London, being able to hold onto Putney for so long despite the Demographic of the area being in the group that rapidly shifts towards Labour. In London especially I think it's important for the Tories to always field candidates that people know about already. Zac Goldsmith was a good choice, people knew him from his ministerial positions and this was shown in the far narrower gap in 2016 in the polls as opposed to now. Shaun Bailey, while on the London assembly is relatively unknown. Many people don't even know there's a panel, let alone who's actually on it. London is a case where if you pit two unknown people against each other, people will blind vote and in London that'll pretty much guarantee a Labour victory. Politics is becoming more PR than ever now and it's important that candidates are well known prior to their selection rather than after their selection. As for a Tory it will always be an uphill battle in London while for Labour it can be more of a downhill one should the Tory candidate be poor. In terms of actual campaigns, Khan's one this round has been extremely poor. He hasn't been out in public much and hasn't even made much statements about his next term and when he does, they're extremely controversial. He is only gaining traction because when he does something poor, Bailey does something worse. |

Omilana's slogans are also quite funny as well. In all honesty, I thought he wouldn't get this many votes, so he definitely should feel proud for getting so many. |

Max Fosh's Manifesto is also very funny (available at laurencefox.org), as he just interviewed drunk people on a sunny day in Clapham Common for their suggestions  I'm sure the cows are a good idea  |

I really could not go and vote for these comedic clowns' with no real policy but I guess some people sadly would. On another note, was watching ITV news and they now say that the lead that was being touted by other polls is not as far ahead as they predicted; something I said about the other pollsters which I personally think was rubbish. They also showed peoples concerns over Khan not delivering and crime being the one hot topic. His problem was that many think he has not delivered on housing and homelessness either. |

This goes back to the point where it really could have been the Tories race to win. Khan's crime stats while poor, were actually decreasing. Bailey during his manifesto launch made a bigger mountain out of it than it was and then ended up trending because he made it seem like he wanted crime in London to increase so he could bring it down again. Something which could have really easily been avoided. |
