So after a long season. 23/24 ended yesterday. I personally didn't watch the Arsenal match as I already made peace with the fact that we wouldn't win. The Villa loss was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. The December dip really did come back to haunt us and I was telling a lot of people (offline from here) this and they were trying to tell me I was overreacting. Now they saw yesterday I really wasn't.
It may sound harsh but we really took points off the top teams for nothing basically. I personally do not know if we'll get another chance to do that again next season especially if some teams strengthen or click into place.
The teams I will say for people to watch out for next season is Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town and maybe Newcastle.
Teams that I think may struggle next season are Bournemouth, Brighton, Everton, Manchester United, Brentford and Aston Villa. The reason I say Villa is because unless they get the squad depth in the summer transfer then they're going to be depleted by the time the season ends as Champions League is not like the Europa League or Conference. It's more brutal and demanding

It's more brutal and demanding Also it is this new format of Champions League with a couple extra group games and an extra knock out round for some. Madness but intriguing to see. I think Arsenal could surpass 100 points next season. However, the only thing that will prevent them is injuries. They were very fortunate with injuries this season. Their key players were mainly fit all year Saliba (every minute), Gabriel, Rice, Saka, Odegaard, Havertz to name some and even the injuries they had led them to play a better line up when Jesus, Partey, Zink were out led to the incredible run with Kiwior/Tomiyasu, Havertz and Jorginho. Look out for Tottenham and Newcastle next season. While everyone is thinking about relaxing and taking a break, they are already focussed and are flying to Australia for a friendly on Wednesday. You can never start too early.

You can never start too early. How far into next season will it be before someone from one of those two clubs complains about the numbers of games they have to play. Well dragging them off for a needless end of season game the other side of the world will totally invalidate that argument. Do you think the players that will be playing in the Euros really want to play another game or two?

Pundits seem to be awfully confident of England bringing it home. However it seems that there are the same issues or even more issues than before:
1) Players playing out of best position (Bellingham, Rice, Eze, Trippier, TAA, ...) 2) Players that are injured or not match fit (Saka, Kane, Gordon, Shaw, Geuhi, Stones,...) 3) Gareth Southgate is the manager.
What is more puzzling is that Rice is taking corners and he is one of the few tall players left and England lived on set pieces the last few years. There is no real pace without Sterling and Rashford. Maybe Gordon?
Hey but they are pundits.

Rice takes corners for Arsenal, particularly when Martinelli was replaced by Troassard towards the back end of the season and his set peice was delivery was excellent though I do also agree with you he offers you height from set pieces as well. I don't comment on England on here usually because it's upset people in the past but I will say something - the squad is mostly there but the manager is the major issue. Change that and maybe I'll be made to finally eat my words.

Done my in depth research, here is what is going to happen, no need to watch.
It will be France beating Spain in the final with unlikely hero. England dont make semis. A Portuguese gets golden boot. A surprise player of the tournament. Unbelievable there will not be a goal in extra time and no penalty is saved in the entire tournament including in penalty shoot-outs.
Apologies in advance but I suspect no-one is going to believe these anyway.

I don't suppose anyone is going to believe that either.

I never write them off, as over the years they have said that and have seen them win world cups and euro's. At the moment Scotland is taking a battering, lol. Thought they may have lost 2-0 but they are awful. Not even ONE shot at goal

I expected a bit more from Scotland but they really were awful.

Fixture list is out. All I'm gonna say for my team is September and March are going to be tricky months. Wowsers
