Thoughts on this? How are Arsenal and Spurs applying for this? But real talk though, this Super League will be the death of football and well done to the PL to put their foot down and hopefully give reasonable punishments to the clubs involved.

Its fairly obvious if you look at it, the coronavirus has put a hit on the clubs and look at the Super League opportunity for money to be made. The owners clearly shown there true colours that they are not running the club for football.

This and I repeat THIS SHOULD NEVER EVER HAPPEN!!!! Under any circumstances. I would be very surprised if this goes ahead. I'm glad Bayern Munich and PSG apparently opposed this idea.

With Arsenal, Spurs and Man Utd on that list given it's owners from those clubs its no surprise. I was more surprised to see Liverpool on that list.

Sorry but why are you singling those two clubs out in particular?

I do not buy that PSG wouldn't be interested, they have corrupt owners just like City where both teams are owned by countries effectively using sport to whitewash over the horrendous crimes they're involved with. No German club involved doesn't surprise me, they generally run football over there for the fans such as 49% rule for owners and low ticket prices.

Am very surprised Man U are still going as strong as they are today given all the debt they've racked up.

There's a good reason Bayern and PSG aren't involved in this. The whole issue a lot of these clubs have is that UEFA don't control what happens in the transfer window, some clubs can be turned from nothing into total stars just if someone rich happens to buy them out. This is exactly what happened with PSG, they were effectively an average club which then got taken over by a rich individual and then spent a load of money they couldn't have even dreamt of a few months before the transaction on Mbappè and Neymar. I'm sure Bayern would actually be interested, however Germany have a rule where a single entity cannot hold over 49% stake in a club to ensure that individual fans will always have the majority voting rights. Fans in their right mind wouldn't vote to join this league so Bayern's board doesn't seem to have even batted an eyelid at this because it'll never get through. Overall I'll be surprised if the Super League ever materialises, it just seems to be a threat to UEFA to meet the terms to prevent these hostile takeovers and then unfair buying, which is effectively a form of corruption. It's exactly why PSG aren't backing this idea because it aims to stop exactly what made them rise to fame.

Arsene Wenger warned everyone about this many years ago, I’m not surprised this has been announced, Arsenal, Liverpool & United I’m the most shocked about with such rich history in English Football, Chelsea I’m in small shock, Tottenham is a weird one, Man City no surprise there owners are money grabbers

Slight correction - whilst a particular individual is associated with them, they are effectively owned by a country like Manchester City and given there is meant to be 15 core members of this ESL, I seriously wouldn't rule out PSG being one given they are highly corrupt themselves. Moves are being made with apparently all 12 founding members having terminated their association with UEFA and the Champions League being awarded to PSG. Should this all be confirmed, I'd expect to see a Roma vs Villareal final take place

The Champions League could become very boring if Bayern and PSG need to battle it out every year. Could also have huge implications for the Euros later this year if many players get blocked from playing for their country as a result. England at least will effectively be nerfed and Germany will probably get it handed to them on a plate.

Even the real madrid president called for this from as far back as 2009
