Just proves the old adage - most people only remember their bus journeys when something goes wrong.

What are Arriva going to do with Northfleet once they have lost the Fastrack routes ? I hope they will find to create new routes or sell Northfleet to a different company.

What are Arriva going to do with Northfleet once they have lost the Fastrack routes ? Before the I-Squared news came through, I’d have laid an awful lot of money on Arriva getting rid of Northfleet to someone else, now, I’m not so sure, they might try to continue to make a go of things, even though it’s now probably the biggest basket case of all the operations in the South East.

Crazy to think Northfleet was historically the most profitable garage in Arriva UK bus.... There was stuff afoot but to the best of my knowledge it is now off the table. I suspect Arriva will continue to operate in Kent, although I'd put a question mark over Northfleet still.

Medway could be a good little operation if Arriva try a bit harder, as really could Maidstone.

The thing is , Arriva cover the Medway area in Kent as you’d think they would do well in those big towns- Rochester, Maidstone , Chatham etc etc.

Judging by their website it appears the 724 is no longer classed as a Green Line service. Truth be told, it felt pretty much like a regular Arriva service when I used it last year so I'm not surprised, nor will I be if the GL-liveried SB200 Pulsar 2s stay that way for a few years yet.
That leaves just the 755/757 coach service where Green Line is concerned. That said, I think Arriva will keep the brand for as long as the 757 continues to attract a commercially sustainable share of passengers on the Luton Airport - Central London route.

Is this instead of Nat Express? Upon researching there were 3 contracts up for grabs, contracts 1&3 to/from London and Contract two from elsewhere. Not sure if Arriva have contract 1 or 3, or if it makes any difference.

No, competition with the National Express A1/A2/A31 for London passengers will continue as before. Exclusivity would have been mentioned otherwise (as it was in 2013, I believe).
Historically the airport received 2-2.5% of 757 revenue in the pre-2013 agreements; I don't know what today's terms are.
Now you mention the contracts - NX connect the airport to places like Birmingham and Oxford, so on that basis Arriva will indeed have won the first or third.

There obviously is a difference between Lots (to use the term quoted) 1&3, as Lot 1 was set to have a value of approx £60m and Lot 3 £25m. Can't see any awards of other contracts reported yet, though imagine NX are favourites. Seems I need a login to establish the finer details, which I don't have.

In truth the noted continuation of NX at LTN was an assumption on my part and not based on any knowledge of the lots. But it would be a surprise if they didn't retain 1&2. Here's the related contract notice for anyone else who wants a looksee.
