I thought it only did those double runs because there was nowhere suitable to put stops on Davidson Road?

I think they are the reason why it is restricted to short buses so hopefully could take longer. Convert the 289 to DWs from 349???

Yes, ENL’s have made those two roads but it’s far from ideal and I believe longer buses usually miss the two out. There was a 410 user on here who reported on the workings but sadly I don’t think he is here anymore

The two stubs along Davidson Road are the issues for longer buses

I think they should remove the double runs, I've always found them pointless, to me they came across to me as a waste of time to go around, especially if there were no passengers waiting at the stops or wanting to leave the bus. As mentioned, this would have other benefits: longer buses would be able to go on the route.

I don't know about pointless, my understanding is that they were implemented because there was nowhere satisfactory to put stops on Davidson Road. There was a member on here who lived there although I think he moved to Monks Hill if I remember correctly, he might know a bit more about the situation if he's still on here, I can't remember his name.

The proposal says they are to be replaced by stops on Davidson Road. Obviously happy with this as with any other measures to speed up journey times

JayThompson109 or something like that? Don't think he's active on here but is active on the Fellowsfilm simulation forum

I'm guessing the diverts were for accessibility reasons - getting bus stops closer to people's homes and avoiding the need for some passengers to cross the road to reach bus stops.
