bahaha, you would be lucky. I think I have more faith in Spurs winning the premier league than Khan withdrawing. Spurs might do it sometime in the future if they year begins with a 2 .. only another 976 seasons to go! Boris had issues withdrawing, which is why he's father to so many children There is growing speculation Antonio Conte "will be withdrawn imminently, like the 318's E200 Darts" if there's another gutless display when AC Milan come to visit. Perhaps Conte is a Rotala enthusiast, seeing his love of the Diamond formation every single game? I thought 3-4-3 was the bus to New Cross before he joined the club

It is very pleasing to see Surrey council’s reaction. They are refusing to allow Khan to put up signs in their territory, so there would need to be a buffer zone before Khan’s cameras and signs. We need Essex, Herts and Kent to follow suit.

I wonder whether it would be feasible to have ULEZ boundaries per borough? I don't think it should be expanded across London but I'd propose the following: In ULEZ: Lewisham, Southwark, Lambeth, Wandsworth, Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster, City, Camden, Islington, Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham Out of ULEZ: Bexley, Greenwich, Bromley, Croydon, Merton, Sutton, Kingston, Richmond, Hounslow, Hillingdon, Ealing, Harrow, Brent, Barnet, Haringey, Enfield, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham, Havering
Would be pretty similar to the current area covered by ULEZ

ULEZ cameras have been going up on Bromley Common today and there are suggestions locally that they'll be coming down again tonight. Whilst criminal damage cannot be condoned there's some serious opposition to this.

The past couple of weeks for me has shown how London is completely unprepared for the expansion of the ULEZ. Losing access to my car for a temporary period showed me how hard it is to get around in outer London and why people here see cars as necessities compared to luxuries.
Even little things like going to get a takeaway become harder as the buses run every 12 or so minutes, enough for your food to become cold. As opposed to inner London where you often have a choice of multiple routes which combined run every 2-3 minutes. Not to mention carrying shopping back on buses when they're infrequent is an even bigger pain, especially when it's pouring down with rain. TfL really need to improve bus services out here fast before completely screwing over a large amount of Londoners.

There is just so much congestion on the roads, my journey to work is local but can't believe how much congestion I face with people on the school run. Even weekends are a joke with places like Ilford and Barking gridlocked due to the sheer amount of cars on the road. Even if bus frequencies are improved all that will happen is buses will sit in the traffic because there is no space for bus lanes because of cycle lanes and narrow roads.
I am a keen driver but do think something needs to give and we need to find a way to reduce dependence on using cars.

Car sales have actually DROPPED and more young people rely on car sharing or hire schemes like ZipCar if not in the back of an Uber. When I was driving in Regent Street / Oxford Street at the beginning of the month, most of the gridlock is caused by roadworks, and also hare brained schemes embarked on by Councils with a similar mindset as Sadiq Khan. Poor road planning is the cause for these bottlenecks. ULEZ going nowhere, sadly

Poor road planning is the cause for these bottlenecks. ULEZ going nowhere, sadly New car sales only fell because of a lack of available parts for manufacturing due to COVID. A lack of parts from China and other countries have also affected other industries as well documented. In addition a lack of used car stock on forecourts also pushed down used sales. People have decided to hold onto cars for longer rather than get costly replacements. When coupled with dramatic increases in second hand cars it’s no wonder why car sales fell. But within all of this sales of used electric, hybrid and plug in hybrid cars actually rose by 37%, 9% and 4% last year. But to be clear it isn’t down to young people preferring rider share apps or hire schemes, it can be attributed to a rise in living costs and a lack of availability. Of course within London the ULEZ implementation isn’t helping fill the resale forecourts.

I need to get one fairly urgently and don’t want to wait until it gets closer to the ULEZ goes London wide in August.
