WH241 one of my family relatives showed me a picture from Newham council stating how they're going to do a blanket 20mph across the borough in 5 stages. I really do feel sorry for your borough. That borough is in the pits. First the emissions tax and now this. I think only Woolwich Manor Way and the A13 are exempt from it. Newham council has been on a road painting spree with 20mph circles on most roads around E16 since yesterday! Honestly its so depressing, I am not sure how strictly this will be enforced but I do find it painful driving at 20mph compared to 30.
If only they repaired roads with the same urgency

On one of my local routes there is a bus stop a short distance from a radar speed sign in a 20 zone which everyone ignores and thanks to the incredibly fast buses allocated the drivers can and do occasionally shoot past up to 30mph if traffic is clear, you'd think they would install more cameras if they're so desperate about the speed limits.

It is nothing more than a nanny state tick box exercise
