Network Rail has closed the main line between Exeter and Penzance, there are now no trains operating in Devon and Cornwall. UPDATE: ALL Great Western Railway services are now suspended.

Most buses outside of North Devon (where services remain suspended) are managing to get through although there are some diversions due to fallen trees and debris.

Torpoint Ferry operating a 2-boat service. Dartmouth Higher Ferry is suspended but the Lower Ferry appears to be operating.

TFL are advising Essential travel only Due to the Met Office's red warning over Storm Eunice, customers are advised to only travel if essential. We are doing all we can to ensure we are prepared for any impact with extra staff ready to respond quickly to any incidents but some services will be affected by the extreme weather I could be wrong but suspect London might now escape the worse of the storm. Feels more like a really windy day than a major storm. London Fire Brigade have declared a major incident

Large parts of the rail network in the southern part of the UK have been closed down by Network Rail.
Great Western Railway, South Western Railway, Southeastern, Greater Anglia, c2c and Chiltern Railways currently have no services operating at all. Many trains that were still operating were allowed to continue to a suitable staffed station where passengers could be detrained and looked after safely.
Other railway companies operating trains in England are strongly recommending that passengers do not attempt to travel today.
Transport for Wales had already suspended its entire service for today and closed all rail lines in Wales.

I could be wrong but suspect London might now escape the worse of the storm. Feels more like a really windy day than a major storm. London Fire Brigade have declared a major incident They have been overwhelmed with calls which is understandable. Just had to pop out it’s very gusty in east London but think we here are escaping the worse compared to other parts of London and the south east.

Just had to pop out it’s very gusty in east London but think we here are escaping the worse compared to other parts of London and the south east. Not really windy where I am at all. It seems to be coming in bursts of 2-3 minutes very hour or so. I went out at lunchtime, barely a breeze in the air.

Preston Station has been closed due to damage to the station roof, the station was acting as an interchange between the Rugby-Preston and Preston-Glasgow shuttle services. There are also trees on the line between London Euston and Rugby, and in the Stockport area.
