After the closure of Hillingdon Hill, the A10 then had to divert via West Drayton Road & Stockley Road to Stockley Park due to a fallen tree on the Dawley Road at Merrimans Corner. God Knows which way the U4 is/was diverting, however I saw a Hayes bound one heading along the Uxbridge Road by Hayes Police Station.
Had a tree adjacent to my house shed 5-6 thick branches, shame really as it was a good looking tree. Only good thing about that is hopefully the pesky parakeets that live in it, now have to find somewhere else to nest!
My sister lives in Winchmore Hill (village in Bucks, not Nth London) had a lucky escape, one of the evergreens surrounding her house came down, bouncing off the corner of her house, luckily though, it didn’t cause much damage! Her and her partner are currently out on the garden with a chainsaw chopping it up!

Here on SWR, a skeleton Chessington South service has started with some aspirations of restoring trains tonight (subject to a safe passage). Mitcham Common is currently blocked by a fallen tree. EH315 a tree fell onto that whilst out on the 320. Just seen the dashcam of that, hope everyone is okay from that.

Been suggested elsewhere the O2 roof had a 25 year lifespan so will be interesting to see how they proceed with the repair. Could need a whole new roof instead of just repairing the damaged section.

My picture 😁, was involved in the evacuation of 9Y18 which was stranded just beyond the station, hardest evacuation I’ve done due to winds and walking across the tracks on a high level but got everyone safely of the train, my bad luck as this was my second evacuation this week

Looks to settle down by Monday lunchtime, but a grotty weekend. Still strong winds around 60 for a time.

Most trains seem to be back to near-normal on Saturday morning. The main exceptions are:
- Great Western Railway who will run no trains at all until 10.00 and do not expect services to be restored in Devon and Cornwall until at last 13.00. - Greater Anglia (including Stansted Express) will restart some services around 10.00. - GTR (Great Northern, Thameslink and Southern) still reports major disruption with an advisory not to travel.

SWR still operating very little anywhere and advising customers not to travel.
