I don’t tend to pay mind to crackpots with crackpot theories.

I don’t tend to pay mind to crackpots with crackpot theories. Oh dear, we’re poles apart, aren’t we? I’m not a loyal supporter of either red or blue, but, like in 1997 and 2010, it is very clear that the incumbent government are done. Washed up. Finished. Not bothered about the country, but very bothered about themselves. I personally think that Jonathan Pie has got it spot on.

Neither am I a loyal fan of either and whatever anybody says about the current government I very much doubt whether the other lot would have done any better.

The current government has zero integrity, empathy or just basic decency and competence. The irony being that they lack the aforementioned basics on such a grand scale and there are still people who can’t see this. Look at the way BJ behaved during Coronavirus with flagrant breaches of his rules. Do we really think KS would behave like that or indeed even former prime minister TM? Of course they wouldn’t. And the question I ask everyone, how on earth has your life got better in the past 13 years?

It's not about the other lot doing better, it's about the current lot being awful. There's a chance of change as we have no idea how the opposition will be, while we very well know how bad the incumbent is.

I don’t tend to pay mind to crackpots with crackpot theories. Probably shouldn't pay mind to the current crackpots in government then.

It was only because of their incompetence that Boris won by a landslide and even with the current government apparently doing so badly I don't think anybody would suggest that Labour have got the next election in the bag.

I don’t tend to pay mind to crackpots with crackpot theories. Probably shouldn't pay mind to the current crackpots in government then. The crackpot comment is ironic coming from one of the biggest supporters of Shaun Bailey, who has made extreme, hurtful comments about women, multiculturalism and retweeted a post containing several islamaphobic tropes against the incumbent Mayor. His new chum Susan Hall is cut form the same cloth.

Business leaders certainly seem to think a Labour Government will do better. Over the past couple of years they have been turning to Labour, who have been only too happy to return the calls, to talk and to listen. Rachel Reeves is very much in demand at the moment. A big contrast to Johnson's alleged "F*** business" outburst and mishandling of Brexit, and Truss' damage to the economy with a reckless and uncosted budget. Apparently there were few Business leaders at this year's Conservative Party Conference. Labour's Conference is over-subscribed.

And how are you so certain the “other lot” wouldn’t have done better? If RS is so great and the best thing since sliced bread why is he not 5, 10, 15 or 20 points ahead in the polls?

I'm not sure how many business leaders are actually in support of Labour policies, and that's coming from a Labour voter myself. I wonder if many are just business leaders who have accepted the reality of Labour potentially forming the next government and are hoping to get in early to influence policies. I'd imagine that's what eh conference is extremely oversubscribed too, could be many people there to see what the impending government is going to be capable of. It'll be a huge day for Keir Starmer when he steps onto the podium, probably just as many eyes on him as there were on Sunak.

They could not give two shits about the care for this country as has happened years and years and how they have pulled the trousers down of many MP's from both parties. We would soon be seeing more scandals from back handers being taken etc. When it came to covid and cost of living crisis, businesses could not give two shits and were profiteering from peoples downfall.
