Labour are tabling a Motion of No Confidence in the Government in Parliament today. MPs of all parties are given a vote and it only requires a simple majority of at least one to pass. If it does pass, it could trigger a General Election and could see a caretaker Prime minister installed in the interim. However, given the large Conservative majority in Parliament at this time, for the Motion to pass would require a large number of Conservative MPs to vote against their own Government, or to abstain. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-46890481 |
