Right now the country is between a rock and hard place. There is no real credible alternative to either shitshow. I suspect a very low turnout at the next election. This is the main issue on both sides. The other option is to not vote but then whoever gets into power, those that don't vote can't then complain. Liberal Democrats

This is going to sound very controversial for what I'm about to say but I said what I said and if you don't like it go and face the wall. The Conservatives and Labour are pretty much the same in some aspects. Whilst I was traditionally a stronger labour supporter in my younger years I cannot support Keir Starmer who is indecisive as an individual. As for the tories I will never support them as they have shown time and time again they're not for the working class. Unless you're earning the big bucks in your personal life, if you're not in the rich class and you support the tories I hope you realise you're part of the group they laugh at in their meetings because you're not on their level. The irony is because of this unspoken bondage some have you're redirecting your anger and frustration at the wrong things and they've got you hook line and sinker. Some of this will probably go over your heads and you'll continue to keep having that unspoken bondage for that party. Let's also add this part too. Every political party lies to get in on their position. It's more of a question of which party lies the sweetest. Funny you know what goes in in their meetings. The champagne socialists more than likely do the same and laugh to say what a bunch of mugs we get voting for us. I did say they are both the same in some aspects and it's a case as to which party lies the sweetest to get in their post. I did also say everything I've written will go over people's heads. Nice to see you fell into the bait 😎

Liberal Democrats I would normally agree with you, but the LibDem Mayoral candidate has said he will reverse the fares freeze and allocate the money to the police .... Something I agree with. When the LibDems speak more sense than your Mayor, you know you are in trouble.

This article shows what is wrong with British politics and the mindset of the media. There is absolutely nothing wrong in changing your mind if you see you were wrong about something in the first place. The real question is why do parties create policies without properly thinking through the implementation and impact on other policies, budgets and areas of unintended consequence? This is what happens when we have a group of election wonks advising politicians what to say in order to get people to vote for them. Detail and critical thinking doesn’t matter anymore. Just get people to vote for you and worry about the detail later. So here, we see a daft back of a napkin „policy“ ditched and the headline is about u-turns rather than a party not taking governance seriously. This is a problem across all parties and it’s a sad state of affairs right now. But anything has to be better than the Tories. They have decimated the country in 13 years by implementing stupid policies and only thinking about the consequences afterwards. Will Labour be any different? Sadly not, but like I said they can’t be any worse. This quote from that BBC article said it all: „A phrase first uttered into my ear at the Labour Conference last autumn. "We need to be the smallest possible moving target".“ Basically, Labour will say what they need to say in order for people to vote for them. That’s why Starmer is accused of standing for nothing and being wishy-washy. The country is in such a mess it needs a cohesive plan to rebuild it. Education, Business, Healthcare, Taxation, Law & Justice, Housing, Immigration, Environment etc cannot work in silos. Their policies have to work in harmony. We need a leader of the magnitude of Lee Kuan Yew to rebuild this country and realise our tremendous potential, but no such person exists in British politics nor will the individualistic electorate and click-baity media tolerate such a figure.

Are we not going to mention any of the tax affairs of Tories?

It is amusing (I have seen far more vicious lampooning of the Conservatives) - although Angela Rayner's tax affairs are only so prominent because the right-wing press have seized upon the issue as a distraction. So in effect this cartoon is sending itself up. Which publication did this come from?
