Are we not going to mention any of the tax affairs of Tories? The fact Labour paints the image of their s##t does not stink when it clearly does is the reason for this. Champagne socialist hypocrites.

It is amusing (I have seen far more vicious lampooning of the Conservatives) - although Angela Rayner's tax affairs are only so prominent because the right-wing press have seized upon the issue as a distraction. So in effect this cartoon is sending itself up. Which publication did this come from? It was in the Standard, although the usual Labour tactic bury their head in the sand to anything within their own ranks, but the second anyone points out their wrong doings, their usual deflection tactics is well the tories this, tories that.

Funny that. Isn't that exactly what the right-wing press is doing here? Making a big fuss about Angela Rayner's finances to detract attention from the Shadow Chancellor, who is exposing the fact the the Tories have run out of ideas and have basically given up governing. The party seems more interested in tearing itself apart and don't care that they are doing so in full view of the electorate.

Champagne socialist hypocrites. So you're ignoring the fact that it's right wing media that's painting this picture in an attempt to distract the millions of pounds worth of tax evasion that Lord Bamford is currently being investigated for?

If you call it right wing press at least they are also tearing down the Conservatives, unlike the clap trap Guardian which never sees any faults in their champagne socialist hypocrites

There are scores of articles on Bamford etc. But as soon as you get one on your so called top tier you bury your head in the sand as though it has never happened.

Rayner has said she's happy to release hers once the Tories have released theirs. She's not exactly hiding it. The ball is in the court of the Conservative Party which is also exactly why they've coincidentally stopped banging on about this.

If Rayner has nothing to hide then she should just release hers and be done with it. Clearly Bamford has something to hide and as a long as Rayner stands by this “you do yours first” defence then as far as I’m concerned she does as well.

Ms Rayner had a good riposte. www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/dominic-raab-gives-bizarre-wink-27355972

Thankfully Darren Rodwell has reportedly been deselected by the NEC but it never should have gotten to the point where he was allowed to stand at all. Regardless of whether someone threatened him it’s no excuse for breaking GDRP rules, he should be fined or given a suspended sentence for breaking the law.

I was going go to say at least we're seeing some consistency from Labour bigwigs but if he'd been from the left of the Labour party I'm sure he would've been hung out to dry far faster and more ruthlessly so I'm not sure if "consistency" is the right word. The latest is that he's having a disciplinary so more mixed messages from Labour. Apparently the NEC haven't approved his candidacy and today was the rubber stamping so perhaps this meeting will be little more than a confirmation exercise. I wouldn't fancy being tried by a kangaroo court...

It’s mind boggling that anyone can see this as okay.

It’s mind boggling that anyone can see this as okay. To be clear, I'm not defending what Darren Rodwell did. I was merely making the point that Labour's internal party disciplinary processes are nothing short of farcical. Nick Brown hit out at what a pathetic excuse for justice it is. Believing these proceses have any integrity is about as a credible as believing in the tooth fairy.
