Brixton continues to be overlooked and shafted for investment public transport wise South London as a whole is overlooked for everything. I remember thinking this in the early 80s. South London had trains at a lower frequency than the Underground which is of course north-centric. Plus south London was beig overlooked for DMS replacement, with Ms and Ts being mainly restricted to garages north of the river.

I think the Abellio bus strikes will deter the management buy-out in its present form. I think the management will buy out just the rail operation in the middle of the year. Then Abellio bus will pass to National Express or Transdev, in part depending on whether Abellio or Transdev achieve success in Manchester bus franchising in the next tranche - Rochdale area.
Meanwhile, Rotala will invest their proceeds from the forced divestment of Bolton in Arriva Derby. Then Wellglade and CentreBus groups will merge. On an unrelated note, McGills will take over West Coast Motors group.

I think that there will be a massive change regarding the operators in Northwest London. Such as Like Abellio being bought out by another operator.

I remember when BN drivers had a bit of an outcry around the late 80s when a number of their Metros were replaced with the older B20 DMSs. I'm not sure where in London the Metros went, presumably for OPO conversion of a route from RM/Ls. Thankfully at least the Cummin engined Metros remained at the shed, which were the one's I initially thought had gone when I first heard what happened.

Route C3 returns to QB after 3 years away with brand new electrics. Initially starts off with E40H MMCs currently on routes 344 and 415 while the electrics are delivered later on after the new contract date (30th September 2023). Route 28 gets a full allocation of electrics using the spare Metrodeckers off route C3. Route 28's 13 reg VHs become allocated to route 452 and replaces the VDWs or WHs on the route. Given QB already have the single deck variant Metrocities¹ perhaps under your senario RATP could loan their Metrodeckers over to maintain the C3's EV operation until QB's new kits arrive, where afterwards the 28 as you say gain the Metrodeckers. ¹ - I'm 'guessing' same dash as Metrodeckers?

It depends on a series of things. My main question is that why would RATP want to help Abellio out if they lose the route especially when the Metrodeckers could be quickly redeployed onto their other routes? If Abellio win the new route C3 contract it would be their responsibility to source the vehicles. TFL would accept the C3 using hybrids for a short period while the new electrics get ready for the route.

They have but it is when it was mutually beneficial to both companies when both companies gained a route (referring to route 285 and route K1 swap between them back in June 2020).

That was 25.10.86 and the Ms went to AC for the opo conversion of route 52. Conversely, on 15.8.81 BN gained RMs from FW to release DMs to X for route 18. Ms from SE (which closed that night) went to FW. This was because the then Abbey District was deemed not yet ready to receive Ms.

It will be quite a year, with lots of changes. More predictable changes will be the end of the 2007 E200 Darts on the 318 on the 23rd of January, replaced by ENNs from the 192 and the 4 remaining EN's from the 377, which will see ENR's from the B13 move North. Electrics debut on the 374 (formerly W3) after TfL re-number the network following more cuts to services sees more routes withdrawn. Arsenal win the League and finish on 107 points. Spurs season unravels, causing key members to leave the Club after new Arab consortium buys the outfit for an undisclosed sum. A new manager and players cannot stop the rot and Spurs finish 3rd, pipping West Ham to the last SuperLeague place. Another heatwave sees the previous years' record smashed as Dagenham sees 44 degrees on May 18th after several days of unbearable heat. Government open more "Cold Banks" in branches of Iceland allowing the less well off without air conditioners at home to relax in their box freezers for 10 minutes at a time. Staff keep the freezers hygienic by re-arranging the bags of mixed vegetables so they do not all defrost after each sitting. Arriva Rail England are awarded HS2 Concession, and 315124, the first of the refurbished "Renatus" units into BR Blue is seen at Liverpool Street after a 150 mph test run from Thorpe-le-Soken. HS2 Traincare Steward Harry Kane is seen in his smart uniform, as driver Antonio Conte heads to the mess room. Transport Secretary Mark Harper and Mayor Sadiq Khan remark on the performance of the journey ahead of rollout of more units after their rebuild following withdrawal from the Elizabeth Line in 2022

For Mark Harper to be present at the Renatus test run would mean a Transport Secretary being in post for more than six months.

Bravo ServerKing - we can always rely on you to bring a little bit of much needed light relief to the forum - and in fairness wirewiper there's only been three Transport Secretaries this year (four Health [one twice] / five Education)...incidentally does a ride Liverpool St - Brimsdown on 317 508 on 16th July count as a Renatus test run? (asking for a friend)

Now out of the glare of mainstream politics, Boris Johnson and Nadine Dorries may re-ignite former passions (to Carrie's dismay) before eloping on an X27 bus at Southgate (new Express route to mirror X26 in South London). Katie Price is Nadine's Maid of Honour

Further TfL cuts kick in after a splurge on electric buses, which sees the 476 cut back between Northumberland Park and Bruce Grove. Dele Alli, who's retrained after a disastrous football career abroad is having a rotten time with Ee18 on the 476 and has called CentreComm after a slight altercation with someone's house
