Again I've said this multiple times... Orchard Village and Beam Park New Road are very different names... It is confusing for many non local people when they wait for the 365 expecting 'Beam Park' on the front for it to eventually arrive and say 'Orchard Village' on it. GY have updated their DW destination blinds before the 248 was their route to include 'Mercury Gardens' for the 370 and 'Rainham Station' for the 103 GY updated their blinds for a reason - to include the 248. They didn’t even order them correctly, it says plain ‘Mercury Gardens’ with no indication that it is in Romford. There is still not one operator that has changed their blinds solely for a destination and not a route. Again would you, if unfamiliar to Romford/Rainham, waited for a bus expecting it to say 'Beam Park' turns up and says 'Orchard Village' on the front, would that not be confusing... DX got new blinds for some of their DW's with the new blind format...

Overall who cares at the end of the day no operator is going to update any existing blinds to reflect any iBus change unless on LED blinds at the end of the day the original spec was Orchard Village this is the third change for Route 365 unless TFL are paying for the blinds it won’t change. It is still going on because people can bash DX/Arriva all day but the second I mention an issue about Stagecoach its as if I've committed a crime...

But BK didn't update them on a whim, they updated them for the 667 and as a result included the updated blinds. You still refuse to see that no operator has ever updated blinds just because a destination changed and none are ever likely to. Again I've said this multiple times... I've given the example of the U1 also not being updated, the entire 173s allocation still runs around without Goodmayes on the blinds, the EL1 buses don't have Ilford Hill on them nor do the EL1 and EL3 have their respective qualifiers. The 175s blinds don't say North Romford and that's all because there's just no reason to update them. Beam Park is no more of a change than the 277 etc is in reality.

A example is Stagecoach WH which has two different blind sets in use. The 241 can display Royal Wharf or some display Silvertown - Royal Wharf. The 330 can have Silvertown and some display Pontoon Dock. I think you are trying to make something out of nothing when most passengers don't even read blinds!
This will carry on until TfL stops changing IBUS destinations every other week and all buses have LED display.

The DWs did not actually have to have a blind change it was only done because of the 248 gain. As has already been mentioned no operator will change blinds to reflect iBus change. Stagecoach do not deserve to be criticised in this situation. Can this argument be dun now please… because no one actually cares if you really want this change to happen pay the operator £20.000 to change the blinds but I’m very sure they’ll spend the money on maintenance instead… In addition why is this in the Superloop thread…?

That's not the point at stake here, Arriva get lambasted for things they do and their arguably shoddy presentation and preparation of vehicles. You're trying to blame Stagecoach for a problem that's non existent and something that not a single operator does at all.

It wouldn't be so bad if you also didn't have some of the enviro's at RM displaying 'Beam Park New Road' and some displaying 'Orchard Village'

I only bash Stagecoach because for the 12 years I've used their route they have been nothing but the worst experience ever. I mentioned the blinds on the SL2 because although the situation wasn't great, I feel like DX and Arriva get unneccessarily bashed extra, for the blinds but also for the 'poor service' when the SL3 probably has equal or worse service

The first day is almost always not the best for every operator but again I feel like some people here just forget that and bash Arriva and particularly DX over things that TFL and their contractors are to blame for I'm not sure what SL2 you've been using but whether Arriva are to do with it or not the operation of that route is completely abysmal and something certainly has to change regarding it.
