I don’t recall the DOE working on any Q routes, obviously there were the temporary swaps with some of PM MHV because of the Putney green corridor but I don’t recall Q. I think some have been there for heavy maintenance like a couple have been to NX for the same but I don’t recall them working any routes from Q. Yeah, i was already correcting my post before i noticed your reply. Had gotten the DOE mixed up with the EVL regarding use on Q routes.

Route 322 will be getting 11 short Metrocities 433 gets more Caetamo e-city Oooooh interesting. Abellio are diverting away gradually from the all-ADL fleet. Well not true because the 63/N63 are getting ADL fleet and the 111 fleet is yet to be confirmed...

I mean, the Cities were the only available type when the 63/N63 order was put in. The U5 I don't know why but I hope the 111 doesn't get Cities. I would love to see the first Caetano DD in London operate on the 111. I did say all-ADL so you can't have Caetano buses and an all-ADL fleet at the same time.

Since 322 will be getting MetroCities and 433 Caetano e.city gold. Could we be seeing Abellio with Wrightbus next since there’s loads of high demands with ADL causing long delays

Route 322 will be getting 11 short Metrocities 433 gets more Caetamo e-city Wow, another one I got right which is unusual for me lol (322) though thought the 433 would go Optare too for a bulk order. First Optares in my area since strays of DOE54 onto the 118 plus loaned in DOE’s to AL due to contaminated fuel on regular AL buses. This is also what I predicted, though is surprising to see Abellio move from a fully ADL fleet to now ordering from Caetano and Optare. It seems Abellio's strategy is likely to eventually have a mostly Caetano electric fleet, but ordering elsewhere until more vehicle types are available (DDs and shorter SDs). Though I thought it might have made more sense to limit orders to just one other manufacturer for simplification, plus possibly discounts on larger orders. This could have involved ordering 9.7m BYDs for the 322, or Metrodeckers for the 63/U5. Optares might be more logical as I think they use the same chargers as Caetano. Note that the 111's order is still unannounced, though is most likely more BYDs following from the U5 batch, unless there are any range issues with the 111's route length? Also with the 322's order, what is the reason for the shorter Metrocity being introduced, when the Solo SR is already available at a similar length?

I was also questioning the viability of range for the 111 given it’s huge length. I reckon there will be pantographs installed at Kingston to top up battery charge throughout the day but again not sure of the viability of that either, especially given Kingston Bus Station is being demolished and rebuilt soon.

If not Kingston, I reckon pantos would be very easy to install at Heathrow given the stand design.

It's getting 2 extra PVR which should cover any periods of additional charging needed

Most operators prefer door forward single decks, which the Metrocity is and the Solo isn't. 9.7m buses are not cleared for the 322 which has been confirmed before, so no chance of those being ordered.

Ranges for electric DD's: BYD/ADL - Up to 160 miles Switch - Up to 190 miles Wrightbus - Up to 200 miles Equipmake/Beulas - 150 to 250 miles Caetano and Volvo - No information Equipmake has repeatedly mentioned that the Jewel E has the best range of any electric DD in the world, so could the 111 get Jewel E's?

The Cromwell Road stand rebuild has been on the cards for the last decade, still waiting on baited breath for it to happen even if tenders have been issued now.
