Apologies, I thought they were to old to be Euro4 - that blows that argument right out of the water PS can anyone explain why Insert's original messages is not included in my 25 most recent messages when the time span covers this period? Probably one of the mods can answer that one for you - I've just checked my 25 most recent messages and 1 of my posts has been included. Isn't that the same for E16-E37 for London Central as well? The only Enviro400s in London with euro_3 engines are the very first batch at Metroline on 06 reg. and the Spirit of London E400 at East London. I think the bonnet number is 18500. The first batch of Metroline E400s are actually 55' reg, although they do have two examples (TE691 and TE692) which were delivered late enough to recieve '06 plates. As for the Spirit of London E400, you're correct as it's fleet/bonnet number is indeed 18500. So the e400s coming out now are euro 5 engines. I am not aware of any E400s (at least the ones on the Trident chassis) on Euro 5. As far as I know all new ones are still coming out on Euro 4. The only Euro 5 buses I know of running in London at present are the Citaros on the 453, unless there's more and I've forgotten as always ;D The 139 is another route that has older buses, and their Tridents go back to T reg. Metroline have quite a few T reg Presidents and V reg ALX400s, but they're all Voiths, which doesn't really float my boat! Each to their own I suppose ;D I quite like their V-reg ALX400s (they do have another 40 T-reg examples), even if they're getting on a lot at 9 years of age.

Whilst on a 67 yesterday (Euro 2, naturally), I saw 9716 - in Shoreditch showing 156 not in service. Initially I thought it might have been on the 344, but the V regs don't get onto that route do they?

Thanks for correcting me regarding the reg plates of the Metroline E400s, i must've been on TE691/2 and had assumed them all to have been 06 reg. Regarding Voith transmission on Tridents they're a lot better on the euro_3 version, but i've never seen euro_3 Voith on ALX400 (only the Plaxton Presidents).

Shouldn't be. They were awarded the route with new buses not current. Should they be throwing whatever they like they are obviously breeching their contract. They may want to try and get away with it but they are not doing themselves any favours. The 152 since the takeover from Centra seems to be sticking to the vehicles it should be. ....baring in mind no other BC route can use 152 buses (too long for the G1/P13/434 and not enough capacity for the 3/N3/157). don't forget tridents have been on the 152. As for these mobility routes, anyone can tell me where it actually serves? There not much notice about these two routes apart from that it serves croydon and bromley. Don't think many drivers know about it either as only one driver is scheduled to do it throughout the whole week which consists of doing the 152 for one round and then the mobility routes. Also, like to point out that 9763, the slowest bus I ever driven in this garage, is now a fast bus again ;D

The Tridents are route 3 or 157 buses used on the 152, whereas a 152 Plaxton/Enviro Darts cannot be used on any other south London TL route except the C1 and 129.

Well I finally drove 9737 today. Yes its got nice top speed (got it to 55mph - won't go any higher ) but the brakes are still poor and its very hard to get it to change gear when accelerating. I can get 51 reg buses to change gear but this one has a mind of its own Forgot to mention, 9759 has been put out of action last friday. Driver smashed it into a skip in croxted road. Back doors completely messed up and back nearside of bus looks like its been ripped up by a chainsaw

Yes I meant south croxted road. Us drivers described south croxted and croxted road as one Happened friday gone assuming around 3pm. Only heard about it as I was starting my shift on G1. Notice how its not there now Not sure about the R70 buses. I think twickenham is travel london best operating garage so probably would be surprised if they lose any routes there

Notice how its not there now I'm glad that the skip has been removed, what ever driver I have next week can now put his foot down after Church Approach instead of having to avoid that and the oncoming traffic ;D.

Theres one driver you don't want as he never puts his foot down as he does the job properly i.e stop at all compulsory stops even if no one is there, and sticks to the speed limit ;D By the way, theres another skip on croxted road, near petrol station/norwood road junction.
Also spotted in the garage, 9740 repainted and refurbished just like 9737

I've also been told that 9729, 9740 and 9764 are now quick buses.
