3005 broke down on the 111 today. The bus was overheating apparently.

Transport UK London Bus have recently appointed a new Fleets & Facilities director for the firm.
The MD makes some interesting comments about the basis of this appointment:
BIB: It is such an interesting statement, it will be interesting to see what other plans Transport UK have to further their business in London bus tendering and rail replacement.

I don't think it's anything interesting, looks like a textbook statement as all operators are increasing EV fleets and I can't imagine anyone saying they want to lose routes. I doubt we'll see much change from the outside.

It's been reported that N27 are on LT's blindsets Forgive me if I'm missing anything glaringly obvious, but shouldn't they be on the TUK LT blindsets as it's an LT route?

I actually have never seen a N27 blind and its my local lol - They all just display 27 as its a shorter route than its day counterpart anyway and has no major difference in separating the two

I actually have never seen a N27 blind and its my local lol - They all just display 27 as its a shorter route than its day counterpart anyway and has no major difference in separating the two wouldn't be better extended N27 to Brentford County court. What's the point Hammersmith and Hammersmith Grove few stops I did think in 2019 why they didn't keep the N27 as far as Chiswick as often happened when day routes were shortened (N53, N83, N266 etc). Also I guess some of the Broadway stops are quite useful for cross Hammersmith traffic, particularly the Hammersmith & City line station, but I'm surprised the 27 hasn't just been cut to the bus station all times. No shortage of space now the 23, 33, 209, 419, 485 don't stand there.

TfL's thinking must be that the N9 is adequate west of Hammersmith and to add the N27 too would overbus Chiswick High Road at night. Of course the N9 can be heaving at night so the N27 could be a welcome addition to Chiswick/Brentford. I used to value the link to King Street but now I often get off at Hammersmith Broadway and walk across the gyratory rather than the (often) slow trip circling around the gyratory. The 218/306 now have a common stop in the upper bus station which is helpful and wasn't initially the case.

The N27 must be the one case where the night route is shorter than the day one where it gets the prefix.

Is it known whether the MMCs with LED displays are getting USB sockets and LCD interior screens? It's been reported Arriva's HV281 and HV282 are now so spec'd, baring in mind their buses were all done during refurbishment

Normal thing for Transport UK. Remember they upgraded many manual blinded vehicles to smart blinds.
