E284 has been involved in a minor crash with a private mini cab in Wandsworth. Bit of damage to the left hand side of the bus but nothing major.

EH107 making a right racket in Putney Heath! I love that beastly sound MMCs make after a few years!

Just passed SP40102 broken down on Mill Hill Road SW13. 378 I was on had to pull out into a nasty bend / blind spot to get by. No idea what it was doing there. Still in RATP livery

DE20169 was broken down on the 251 in Burnt Oak the other day. T264 was also broken down on the 340 at Edgware Bus Station yesterday, with a Sovereign truck in attendance.

are the Arriva North DWs really that bad? I have travelled on all of the AR ones personally I didn't see a problem with them. From what I have read on here from AR staff, then yes! This is in addition to evidence when garages receive ex-AR stock. Ridiculous run out and vehicles are required nearly all day. No real chance for maintenance unless a vehicle has an MOT or accident.

No real chance for maintenance unless a vehicle has an MOT or accident. Every single bus operating TfL services requires a thorough inspection at least every 7 weeks. This process should identify any faults that need fixing and vehicles may spend time off the road if there's a lead time for the parts or the repair requires more man hours. Otherwise excepting attention required for MOT, accidents and drivers defect reporting, buses just get parked up and assumed to be good to go out the next day. I get my own bus inspected regularly and have every little thing that sounds or feels off addressed. The thought of defects persisting and developing into a safety hazard, a breakdown or expensive repairs mortifies me and my wallet!

LT563 crash - not my photo (https://flic.kr/p/2iF2BYR) These LTs are dropping like flies!! A whopping 21 officially VOR according to LVF (20 VOR + 1 FireDam). That’s 1 in 50! That’s before you even get ones like LT88 which aren’t officially VOR but haven’t seen service since Dec 2019, presumably due to mechanical issues.

I have noticed a lot that spend weeks and sometimes months of the road.
