Just travelled on my old friend Go Ahead's SEN18.
As usual the back of the bus shakes when idling.
However, today it got worse. New driver took over in Woolwich and had to rev the engine to increase the pressure in the air system and clear the alarm.
For the rest of the journey the doors opened and closed in stages and slow motion.
I then noticed that the downlighters above the front doors remained on all the time (instead of going off when the doors close).
I honestly don't know how this wreck is still on the road.

This batch has a year to go- honestly the SENs are tired, not sure if they are worse than the Enviro200s it had at Stagecoach. The 386 undoubtedly would need new buses since there are no spare compliant 9.3m buses across either Go-Ahead or Stagecoach if won by them.

Some longer early SEs are working on the route and managing to get round the Kidbrooke stretch.

DW536 has a blown / leaky exhaust, was on the 123. There's about 4 or 5 DWs off the road, they could do with some of the ex 307 batch as they're getting hammered each day

EH217 parked on the Russell Square bus stand. I assume it probably broke down yesterday and might be awaiting recovery.

Well I'm sure once you ditch the idea of serving your paying passengers and also running half of your routes because there's traffic your figures change. Quite literally an almost daily occurrence on the 365... the second the route gets any form of 'delay' half of the buses love terminating short of Havering Park... Meanwhile the 175 (an Arriva DX route) always seems to do the full route apart from some cases where they sometimes curtail to Collier Row but this happens much less often than the 365. The Arriva routes in my local area (103/175/375) are the more reliable ones and their buses are much more comfortable compared to the Stagecoach ones (247/252/294/365). The only Stagecoach route that isn't too bad is the 294, mainly down to its fairly regular frequency and doesn't bunch up unlike the 247...

Nothing to actually do with Arriva but I don't find those Ciclo seats comfortable at all. Going back to Arriva, you're comparing the easy 175 compared to the dogs dinner made of other DX routes. Thankfully of which now quite a few have gone onto better pastures at other operators.

Surely by your initial logic where you defended Arriva's poor performance by using roadworks then the same now applies for East London and Docklands because half of East London is currently being dug up. bahaha, that old chestnut eh. But as you realise most of North London is a poo storm for roadworks and has been still since these results. East London should have performed better. All operators are now facing stiff measures from TfL due to contract compliance fines from auditors for incorrect mileage coding and operating practices. So sending all your buses through and now regulating them i.e. route 174 is now going to play into TfL's hands well and uncle Khan is going to be rubbing his hands with glee with that trademark smirk on his face. I think at this point Stagecoach getting a 2 year extension for the 365 contract is unlikely, especially if the 252 is up for a full new contract, so I'll hope Arriva or Go Ahead grab up the routes with new buses And maybe even if Stagecoach, sadly keeps the routes, we might finally see a decent timetable for the 365 which would truly be a miracle.

Travelled on Go Ahead's SE88 on the 386 this afternoon.
This has to be their worst bus for vibrating when idling.
Bad enough for my short journey but drivers have to endure longer.
How can garage personnel moving/testing the bus ignore it?

The same way how they cannot even run the 174 properly

Well when they had both they could not run it properly. The 174 should be a pee easy route to run, the problem is many of the drivers seems to think it is acceptable to run together for most of the route to keep each others company.

Another ride on the wreck just now. A severe air leak could be heard throughout the bus. Not surprisingly the doors were starting to misfunction. MG are not very good at looking after these old buses.

DW571 on the 121 It keeps bouncing vigorously on small cracks or mini potholes. This is the second time I’ve experienced it on E’s DWs. This s*** is so jarring 🙄
