I thought it would just be VHs? I thought the plan for the LTs hasn't been confirmed yet? I don't know whether it is VH's or LT's. I would like to know which buses specifically, if possible. It's VH's at this moment given there has been nothing said about a 71 conversion to LT's. Since those couple of workings of LT's, none have happened since so just have to wait & see what transpires

Just a guess but I presume it's the 15 reg VHs originally from the H91 which moved to FW. I say this because some have been refurbished and have gained FW codes.

How often are tender results?

How often are tender results? How long is a piece of string? It probably averages out you get 1 or 2 announcements each month, normally on a Thursday but there have been announcements on other days of the week, but there’s not really a definitive answer when you would get the next one. You can look at the tendering programme on TfL’s website when you can expect a route or tranche to be announced but these are only a guide so there have been occasions where results have been either early or late. Sometimes they announce multiple tranches in one go and sometimes they only announce part of a tranche. The world of bus tendering can be unpredictable in terms of when announcements are made and will definitely provide some surprises.

So umm... Did Night shift drivers have to do an extra hour today?
There will have been special 'clocks back night' schedules on night / 24 hour routes last night, but it's generally not as simple as drivers doing an extra hour.
On some routes, some of the last 'night' journeys turn in to some of the first 'day journeys' to get back to base (rather than have two buses each running 'not in service' to / from the remote end of the route) - this can be a night bus finishing with a day journey to get home, or a day bus that starts as a night journey to get to the remote end of the route. These have to be amended to work when it's a 23 or 25 hour day without either leaving a gap somewhere or having 2 buses on the same journey.
And extending each duty an hour to run the additional hour's worth of journeys would mean (in most cases) the bus and driver would be at the wrong end of the route after that journey, and would need to do more time to get back to their garage.
Which in a heck of a lot of cases would cause problems when it comes to drivers' hours - the 5 1/2 hour limit for one spell of duty does not get an extension on clocks back night, and a lot of operators do night duties on a fairly short first half (e.g. doing one 'rounder' (round trip) on a day route from (for example) 2100 to 2300, then a break, then a long second half (again for example) midnight to 0500-ish on a night route.)
This means a special duty schedule for each 'clocks night' that complies with drivers' hours law and any company agreements (there may be local agreements to compromise on the latter for one night a year so long as it stays within drivers hours law.)
Depending on how substantial the route is, 'clocks back night' will usually need more night duties than a regular Saturday night (so a few duties left as 'to cover' as rest day work) and the normal rostered night duties will be suspended. A few late duties might get dragged in to it as well, although it's usually best to change as few duties as possible. On the other hand, 'clocks forward night' in the spring, a special schedule for a 23 hour day might save a night duty or two on the more substantial night routes.
Alternatively, or as well, it may be possible to get some Sunday early duties to start at a different time, but again any amended duties must fit within drivers' hours law, and it's usually simpler to try and keep it to just one day that has a special schedule.

In the DLR Control Centre it's very much the case of hard luck if you are rostered the "fall-back" shift ............... a form of roster Russian roulette ............. ISTR I got it 2 years ago .............. luxuriated in my comfy bed this AM 😁

I'm sure most on the forum wouldn't mind some of the older posts being deleted to free up some memory (if it's that simple) . Is it not easier to post links to photos hosted elsewhere? Older posts are sometimes useful and part of the sites history. I imagine posts take up a lot less space than images.

According to londonbusroutes.net, the 718 has a provisional date of being discontinued on 4th December 2021 - hasn't this already happened when the works finished?
