Does the 195 have any restrictions to prevent it from being double decked? I doubt it given it used to run with Metrobuses by London Buses and then DMSs under London Buslines. The extension to Brentford is used by DDs on the E8 so no issue there either. www.londonbuses.co.uk/_routes/current/195-4.html

I asked this before, but probably not in the best place; why was there a Volvo ban on the 51?
Also, is the Dartford hybrid ban down or ignored by Stagecoach?
Any reason why VWs are preferred vehicles on W7 and 134? And why 43 is not part of this, despite going Muswell Hill also?
And why won't Heathrow have a SEL on the 105 ;_; They are on the 90 -_-

The 105 going through back roads is probably the reason why SELs aren't allowed on the roads.

Suspect there are quite a few more parked cars in the area in 2016 than there were in 1991 when the 195 last ran with Ms. I posted some thoughts on this last year: tangytango.proboards.com/post/290168/An alternative idea would be to truncate the route to run Brentford - Hayes with double decks and have a more localised SD replacement at the Charville Lane end, perhaps to Bulls Bridge and through Heston to generate some new links.

Any reason why VWs are preferred vehicles on W7 and 134? And why 43 is not part of this, despite going Muswell Hill also? And why won't Heathrow have a SEL on the 105 ;_; They are on the 90 -_- Answer to point 1: I don't believe their was a Volvo ban but rather Stagecoach just didn't want Volvos on the 51 or hybrids on the 96 hence why most had the blinds locked out. My own personal take is Stagecoach were unsure if a Volvo could go along the 51 but unless other vehicles left the garage like what has happened recently, they had plenty of other vehicles to run on the 51 that fine around the route. Answer to point 2: I don't believe their was a hybrid ban either but again rather Stagecoach just didn't want hybrids on the 96 hence why most had the blinds locked out. My own personal take is Stagecoach had plenty of other diesel buses to use on the 96 which are supposed to be more economical on fast running routes or those with a fast running section. Answer to point 3: VW's are the preferred vehicles for the 134 & W7 simply because they are the allocated vehicles. The 43 going to Muswell Hill has no relevance to this and there probably is perfectly reasonable explanation as to why the 134 & W7 see few strays whilst the 43 sees many strays. Answer to point 4: The SEL's, like other Scanias, have a big rear overhang and unlike the VW's, is probably problematic on the 105 down the narrow back roads between Ruislip Road & Lady Margaret Road.

Does anyone know what the stand arrangements will be for the 483 when it runs to Harrow? I ask because there seems to a chronic lack of space in the bus station and I noticed that the 223 stand is "round the corner" while the H17 and 340 stand opposite the LU stn entrance. I know the 395 tends to operate on the basis of in then out again at Harrow but another 7-8 buses an hour with the 483 is surely going to be an issue?
I wonder if TfL have any plans to rejig the bus station in Harrow given the apparent need to cater for more services and passengers?

Can anyone tell me where the Old Tram depot was in Acton; and what's the procedure for buses to turn here. This thought is spurred by watching footage of Metroline VH blinds & being unable to locate a stand for Acton Tram Depot.

It was located on a site off the Uxbridge Road, (South side of High Street, by junction with Gunnersbury Lane) Build on site of two pubs, Red Lion and the Pineapple Originally opened in 1896 with room for 150 horses and 16 trams Later rebuilt for electric traction with 7 roads and capacity of 35 trams Later used for stores and for maintenance vehicles, retained name tram depot to avoid confusion with main Acton Works (Underground) Became a bus garage in 1990 Has been redeveloped, but a pub combining both names is easiest nearby landmark nowadays

Sorry to ask on here but beats trying to navigate TfL's website.
If I were to travel on all modes of transport (Z1-6) using a contactless card, what would the daily capping be off peak?

There is no price difference between peak and off peak caps. For Zones 1-6 the daily cap is £11.80. This is different from the price for paper One Day Travelcards where there is still a peak and off peak price differential.

Here is an odd one, TfL has issued a tender for bus driver toilets upto 6 per year, contract 5 years +1 +1 year extensions Value estimated upto £1,480,500 (lets say 6 per year, 7 years, gives a toilet price of £35,250 each) Toilet cabin tender
