The O2 Shuttle was done by NV173 although he didn't pick anyone up so had a early finish. I beleive NV 173 is the allocated O2 shuttle bus now, with NV 183 acting as spare. I say this as i read one of the duty time sheets and it actually had NV173 printed on it, so its allocated to the O2 service by default by the commercial team. Obviously when not required both NV's will no doubt be out with sister NV 165 (convertable o/topper) on weekend Rail and Other commercial duties as they have been virtally every weekend since they arrived!

Avoid WVL 89 at all costs as the vibrations when you stop are terrible - and yes from what I can tell the handbrake was on. Anything special engine wise about this bus? As i stated earlier, only managed to see MW WVL85 at Upminster last night

Are the rail Replacements a free service? Not really, but it is in a way, because they do not really check for your tickets or oyster!! The buses on the District line replacement to Richmond today had 'Rail Ticket Holders Only' on the side blind above the front wheel. Saw at least 4 buses and they were all showing this.

Couple of rail replacements seen at Kingston this morning (only saw from a distance) A stagecoach double decker and a silver-grey 05 reg double decker (think it said Weaverbus or Weaverway)
Presumably a mixed fleet on same rail replacement is because the London bus Operators cannot spare enough buses for intense Saturday rail replacement

Happened to drive through Kingston and also white single deck coaches with Oxford International on back Saw another Weaverway bus and the yellow card in front window had rail replacement 51 on it. If they need at least 51 buses then its not surperising so many companies involved

South Eastern Replacements, 28th and 29th March 09.
Saturday Dartford - Gravesend: LC, BX Providing all 3 NV's, and several PVL's. Training PVL's 7 and 82 were also used, they had thier raised platform/instructors seat deck removed (these are the convertable 'non test' trainers).
Sunday Slade Green - Gravesend via Dartford: LC -BX NV173, NV183 (my bus), PVL's 5, 21 & 178 and a E on one of the late turns. Arriva also assisting with 4 ALX-400 B7TL's in turquoise form Gillingham, with Excellent LED Destination Screens, scrolling all the stations served on the service (putting LC's simple 'RAIL REPLACEMENT SERVICE' blinds to shame!!!!).
Sidcup - Dartford via Bexley LC - BX PVL's and NV165 NX - PVL's A sutton NV was also at Dartford acting as the Spare/Controllers bus.
