Oh and the NTC at Lewisham had a go at me for parking in the Bus Station on my meal relief at midnight, because I wasn't a London Bus You was a london bus, just not on a london bus service!!! I would have just changed the blinds to show 89, then they could'nt have moaned at ya!!! lol I did'nt have any NTC's moan at me when i sat at Eltham Bus Station for 12 mins (coz i was well early) with my engine running!!! There were 6 NTC's vans there!! (yes i know theres an NTC base there)! Thats what our 661 driver used to do At Eltham put 132 up. Easily fooled BSCs. ;D ;D ;D

There were 6 NTC's vans there!! (yes i know theres an NTC base there)! I couldn't be bothered, in the end he said to just stay where as I was as I was one of them , although he did later move the other two that parked up in there ;D He knew I was RR anyway as he moaned at the way I parked at Eltham and I was well early there as well as I wasn't going the official way, I was coming back along Kidbrooke Park Road, then Rochester Way and Well Hall Road

Yes in a DD, the trees are not that bad especially if you drive wide from the kerb better than taking it over the weak bridge in Kidbrooke Park Road.

I went that way as well, to avoid that tight bit over the brige in kidbrook park road, where theyve stuck those stupid bollard things, making the road narrow, had no option but to nudge the kerb on my first trip to NX, something which i was not happy about, so on my second trip i used Rochester Way, but i went down towards the Yorkshire Grey and onto the A2 then came off at the Kidbrooke Pk Rd turn to serve Kidbrooke Stn then 'line of route' into Lewisham!
I have myself taken PVL's down Rochester way and the trees are fine!!!! too much fuss over nothing i think!

Are the rail Replacements a free service? Not really, but it is in a way, because they do not really check for your tickets or oyster!!

Really you are required to have a train ticket and a railway revenue official can board a rail replacement bus and perform a ticket check. Whilst Travelling on a Rail Replacement bus you are still bound 'as a customer' by the national conditions of carriage (for national rail services) or by TFL's own Con's of Carriage (LUL and DLR).
The rail operating companies are required by Law to provide a replacement service when trains are not operating over a section of line for whatever reason, this could be by Bus, Plane, Taxi, or an alternative Train, as long as the scheduled destinations are served. However in emergency situations, as long as alternatives are availble they have no requirement.

And you lot were telling us theres a shortage of overtime down there? Yes there is a shortage of O/T if you don't do rail work!! Most of the overtime at the moment is purely Rail work or the odd Night Bus. Even the O2 shuttles which BX now run are given out as overtime!

As egg said the only OT I'm getting at the moment is Rail work, still I'm not complaining as I prefer it ;D This weeks rail jobs are being supplement by one from Metrobus (doing Meopham (or somewhere like that) through to Rainham and TravelMaster who are running with the BX Rainham bus. and the BX Rainham bus is also doing the first train in the morning Gilligham to Strood Tonight BX sent out one Enviro (E44 I think and I picked PVL259 ;D) and TravelMaster were using there 58 plate E400 (I noticed this didn't have the seat behind the driver's cab that we do on our's) The O2 Shuttle was done by NV173 although he didn't pick anyone up so had a early finish.
