VWH2699 has also returned to AH and is currently on the E8. I wonder if the 237 is receiving a small allocation of BL64s.

LT642 was evacuated at Clitterhouse Road North after crawling pathetically up the hill prior and being unable to pick up speed, also smelt strongly of smoke

Uxbridge seem to have withdrawn DE1014 now, leaving just DE995, 999, 1011, 1023 and 1641 in service. I've noticed 1118, 1121, 1126 and 1127 are now off the road and given 999 hasn't been on the road for a few days, perhaps those 4 will replace these older DEs?

Is anyone able to confirm if the new tender for the 17 is fully LT? as we know some early LTs have moved into HT but not in use yet. LOTS has it still down as mix LT / Electric but that could be a mistake.
The new tender started yesterday but the route is a mix of BDE, WMH and LT today.

The tender notice stated that it would use 'Existing New Routemasters', meaning the entire route will use routemasters. I believe it'll be a slower process due to TfL deciding the allocation of the LTs, and the route 5 also needs to convert to a full LT allocation!

I am aware of what the tender stated, I was asking more in case anything changed after the award. The 5 would most likely have no impact on the 17 especially as the route had a LT allocation and other LTs have moved into HT over the last few days.

Even with enough LTs now at HT, I expect the 17 will still continue to use some BDEs until they get reallocated. I'm surprised none of the recent electric tenders at Metroline got awarded with a mix of new and existing, particularly since more BDEs have been ordered. Maybe the spare 19reg BDEs could move to route 4 to form part of the new allocation?

I find this rather exciting, below is a photo I took of TEH1223 at PB. This bus type has never operated out of PB to my knowledge, so I will be eagerly waiting to see whether it enters operation.

It’s interesting how the TEHs are mainly at W and also at G. Briefly at EW and HT but mainly at W. And also no other garage besides W has had brand new TEH.

Converted to training buses. See the double mirror, and they have instructor seats.

Its very curious and surprising to see an non-standard type introduced at an different garage engineering wise. I wonder if more will appear at different garages, more so the 58 reg TEs on the training fleet. If I recall TEH1225 was one of the alright ones at W/EW.

I wonder how WJ is coming along in terms of electrification work. It’s gonna be amazing when it’s done as it’ll start a mass conversion of the 187, 487, 228 and 316, and the 206 soon after. Will do wonders for clearing out storage of vehicles 😀
The sole VMS that was running on the 487, presumably off a generator stopped running in service about a week and a half ago. I wonder if that’s a sign of things rumbling along at the garage.
I also wonder why nearly 2 years into the 297’s contract PV hasn’t even begun electrification works yet. This could be giving the 358 a run for its money in terms of the longest time to convert to EVs after the start of a new EV contract!
