I doubt delivery will start this year, i think the first signs of them will be in early 2025. So BDE2985-3030 will just sit at ADL doing nothing until 2025? - some of them would be delivered by now

The 43s BDEs are BYD DD chassis and these new ones should be BYD D8URs. Other differences would be that these new ones will have the high spec interior and the 43s don't.

The 113s own brand new WDEs are in storage or are awaiting delivery if I’m not mistaken?

When the E2 and E8 tenders were awarded it was planned the electric buses would be used on the 245 and 263 until 2025. I noticed the buses have only just been ordered for the E2 and E8. Did the initial plans change for any reason?

Did the initial plans change for any reason? They may not go to the 245/263, but that depends on whether the electric infrastructure has been done when the new AH garage was finished. If anyone can confirm that AH has been wired up please do say on here, thanks.

Has the 481’s loadings picked up that much to already warrant a frequency increase just three years after its last major increase? (Ie decker conversion). I thought its need for deckers on the last contract was regarded as pretty tenuous at best, and was just done because of the spare fleet RATP had available It's loadings outside of school times are still pretty low. I think it's not a particularly attractive route to use over, for example the 267 or 281/285 because it is not a turn up and go service. The Sandy Lane section is particularly desolate and buses can go from Teddington Broad Street to Bentalls without picking up or dropping off

Similar happened on the 285 with Abellio wiping out any cost savings made in comparison to other bids. Surely TfL must impose penalties or make sure the incumbent operator bears the additional cost?

No, it's getting a PVR increase because it actually needs it at school times.

No they shouldn't penalise the operators, they had the schedules to look at but priotised cost cutting in the short term which turns into an expense long term, couldve been avoided by looking at the schedules and tender replies and then choosing the most viable option, we can see the consequences of cheap tenders with the abundance of handbacks recently.

Routes 327 and W9 have been awarded to Metroline Both routes are on three-year contracts using existing diesel single-deck vehicles. The 327 contract actually starts this Saturday (!) whilst the W9 commences on 21st September. Stagecoach will continue to operate the W9 until Metroline takes over. PVR: 327 - 1; W9 - 8
