Are they any different to the ones on the 43? The 43s BDEs are BYD DD chassis and these new ones should be BYD D8URs. Other differences would be that these new ones will have the high spec interior and the 43s don't. Are they any significant differences? I'd imagine perhaps better range?

Anyone know when UX is to recieve their share of electrics? A lot of the U-prefix routes are to start their new contracts soon. Good question, atm there are many garages city wide which still have not even began their infrastructure works so more than likely UX will run late. I would be shocked if the EVs enter by the end of this year tbh. Once one route converts the following can do so much quicker as it is just a matter to install additional chargers...

I believe it will be a few months until Cromwell Road Bus Station reopens if all goes to plan (the published timeframe is "Autumn 2024"). A frequency increase probably would put the buses in the wrong place for the school journeys as you say, but a short extension from WMH should not cause any issues as the current timetable has ridiculously long stand times at both ends. I believe the stand time is now just 15 minutes at both sides since Metroline took over. Clearly the current stand time is not sufficient for some trips as some trips are constantly lost due to changeovers and traffic.
