I would assume replacing older DEs in the Metroline fleet. UX, G and W all have pretty aged DEs and don't forget the 190 needs some DELs too. The 190 has the ex 235 DELs. The DELs are too long for the 324 and U10. The 143, 268 U1 and U2 are getting electrics. I seen 190 getting passengers I think it should. Be permanent. Maybe Hybrids near future

I wonder what will happen to the 19 reg DELs after their time covering at WJ while the WJ routes are waiting for their new electrics cone to an end. Open to correction but the H17 at WJ is allocated the 19 reg at WJ permanently? Yes, I believe it is. It was my first ride in the area on Easter Monday

Which route will get the fleetcode 3031? I'm more curious as to what vehicle (and route) will use the number 3000 Well, I bet that vehicle will be BDE3000 on the W8

The A10 is allocated DEL2244-48. However, some of the 190 batch is at UX, I believe 4 of them. With the A10 vehicles not at UX, it could be possible that due to DEL2244-58 all being ex-235 buses of the same age, it could be possible that the ones at UX will stay there permanently and the others moving over. That's if Metroline intends to return the DELs to the 190 of course. They may keep it double deck for the entire contract.

I think that Metroline will need to find hybrids of a similar age and younger to the DELs in order to fulfill the 190s current contract as the VWs are too old to fullfill the whole current contract.

It was awarded with DEL's and they did initially run on the route but the DEL's were required temporarily elsewhere on the 316 at WJ until it's electrics arrive. Once they arrive, I presume the 190 will receive it's DEL's back unless TfL decides to do something such as making the double deck allocation permanent. I don't think the VW's are that bad at all personally but just my opinion.
