GoAhead chose to keep their smart skirt livery for as long as it complied with TfLs branding specification.

Battery technology has improved since early SEe (they even had diesel heaters) The 358 has full size 12m buses so lots of choice, some like the Citaro electric have optional extra batteries (standard is 4, but can have 6 or 8) So I don’t think range will be a problem if properly spec’d The removal of the diesel heaters and implementation of the air pump for heating/cooling puts more strain on the capacity, if there has been such development to further extend the range then we would of heard about it. It isn't a case of whether BYD or Yutong can offer an extra 5 miles it needs to be substantially more which just does not exist commercially. Hydrogen's please, that'll be the main technology in 10 years , Lithium based batteries will be old news. If your last sentence proves to be correct then Wrightbus will be in a very good position!

I have a question how come Go ahead got to keep their grey skirt on their WVLs/Es but Other companys couldnt apart from Arriva with their T199 Because the rule for 100 red didn't come into effect until the 453's contract hence why everything beforehand had a skirt. The only outlier was E173 which arrived with a skirt as it had been tacked onto an older contract. Metroline had pre empted the rule and began repainting near enough everything fully red earlier, Arriva didn't have a skirt as part of their livery but did have skirt lines on a small amount of buses and of the newer buses, only the early T's, ex 5448 (T199), the 07 reg ENS's, the 57 reg EN's & the pre 58 reg ENL's had skirt lines - early Enviro 200's for Arriva Kent Thameside & Arriva Surrey also had the skirt lines. The E10's Enviro 200's did arrive with skirt lines but these were removed after a while. The other operators were already fully red by personal choice.

E77 and EN26 have returned to action at Croydon. Wonder if the two WVL’s will return?

How comes WVL477 is noticed as ‘FireDam’ on LVF? It suffered a small fire on the top deck whilst on the 101, as a result of an arson attack . It wasn't badly damaged though so hopefully we should see it back soon.

I would presume the article is talking in terms of funding being in place for 100 additional vehicles, possibly not including those already ordered minus the 25 mentioned. Could mean that GAL will be offering electric options for all tenders, especially with HSBC on board with funding.
