Photo credit to Reece Lerica on Q's new arrival SEe146, all but ready for the new contract from March 20th. Stunning. Are these the first 21 reg buses to hit the streets of London?

E38 and E57 have now moved to BX to be used as meal relief buses, replacing on-loan EN20 and EN22 which are not Euro VI compliant. I would’ve thought meal relief buses would be exempt from the LEZ, just like school extra buses were?

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but the 456 will commence operations on March 13th according to this tweet:

There has, the TfL statement on the fleet reaching ULEZ standard confirmed so. tfl.gov.uk/info-for/media/press-releases/2021/january/london-s-buses-now-meet-ulez-emissions-standards-across-the-entire-city'TfL's core bus fleet now meets the Euro VI standard. Meal relief buses, training buses and some school buses put on as a response to COVID to enable social distancing are not included in the core TfL bus fleet'

If this is a TfL thing (versus a Gov one) surely they can just add exemptions for school extra vehicles?

If this is a TfL thing (versus a Gov one) surely they can just add exemptions for school extra vehicles? The new LEZ standards apply to all heavy vehicles, not just TfL-contracted buses. I don't think TfL can legally grant themselves an exemption, but I suppose they can pay the fines. Or at least they could if they had any money.

I think something to do with the Gear? I hate it when bus drivers using manual gear instead of automatic gear to make the bus shake or suddenly slow-moving. I’m pretty sure the 352’s SE’s also had their gearboxes changed similar to the G1 and 322’s E200’s? Think londonbusboy will know more. It was the plan, i dont think any have been done

Has anybody seen any new Ee’s delivered for route 69? Ee64 sighted today, so could be a dozen or so stored somewhere?
