How standards have fallen, at one time a publicity or media photo would have been properly staged, now they are happy to use a photo with someone who can’t even tuck his shirt in I suppose it is a reflection of the official standards of presentation that Go Ahead have now stooped to. Okay let's look at this, Go Ahead really didn't have to do it. Not to mention you've now called out a staff member for not even bothering to tuck their shirt in, is that even uniform policy? Go Ahead didn't have to do this, they chose to. They are proud of their new service and what exactly is wrong with it? The bus is nicely blinded, the driver is happy and you can see they have started a new service. It's certainly better than what Stagecoach, RATP, Metroline and the likes are doing who don't even bother to post at all. This isn't a waste of money and is a free way to just promote the service.

May or maybe not be official policy, but it is professional and personal standards.

Between you, that photo has appeared 7 times so far.
An unprofessionalism I experienced on April 24th was a bus driver get off his bus with a lit cigarette in his mouth. I was 50-50 about whether to ride that route, but he helped me decide not to use that route.
I did later use 2 other buses by that operator, Vision Bus of Bolton. One was in a sense inevitable, and the other was an ex-GA WVL.

As long as the bus arrives & the driver does his job, I’m not bothered about his shirt being untucked

Yes he could have made a bit of effort, I suppose regular users of the route won't be aware of any change? Very true just a different fleetcode and logo.

Reminds me of a conversation I overheard a while ago, some German students were making derogatory remarks about the appearance of a bus driver and saying such standards would not be tolerated in their country.

Every country is different - what goes on in Germany doesn't mean it should happen here or elsewhere

He used to carry a brief case, looked ridiculous but he looked the part lol.

I suspect that in the pouring rain at stupid o'clock in the morning, they wanted to get the photo taken as quickly as possible. I can't say this bothers me too much: if he didn't have any trousers on, then there might be an issue.

And ruin the whole run out plan for a single photo?
