Knowing how long a process it could be with Historic England and them approving the plans before any work can be done, never mind the complexity of wiring SW up itself, it very realistically could even be two years until it sees any electric operations It depends on how proactive Go Ahead have been in working with Historic England. Just focusing back on Sutton for a minute upgrade works to enable EV conversion of the garage were completed in November 2022 just before the contract started so were clearly being worked on before the contracts were even awarded as it was a 9 month project and that’s without planning. It could be the same here particularly as Go Ahead as a company seem the most eager to have a fully EV fleet. Isn’t the 88 meant to be getting new electrics from the 10/12/24? If works are delayed at SW would they continue using the current buses. Some of the early EH’s (32/33 etc) are in dire need of a refurb.

Yes, even if they are late then I doubt the existing EH would get refurbed. The MMC ones might but definitely not the mk1 EH.

What are the YX13 EHs allocated to, which always land on the 115? How long until they are withdrawn?

They’re school buses, hence why they usually end up on regular routes as they’re not needed that often They seem to have been part of the allocation in recent years even if unofficially. I think they have covered shortfalls in the 17 reg EHs but will probably be replaced by a full allocation of 17 reg for the tender renewal. The 13 reg EHs are not allocated to any school routes at DS as far as I am aware.

Has Ee244 been transferred to C as I have just seen it doing 264? It's one of the two with vinyls promoting women in the bus industry (and at Go-Ahead in particular), so I would expect it to 'do the rounds' and appear at different garages.

I drove MEC69 on Sunday on the Orpington to Tonbridge rail replacement. I'd wanted to drive a Euro 6 Citaro for a while so was glad the opportunity unexpectedly presented itself. Lush vehicle to drive. Suspension was decent and good temperature control. The engine had definitely had acceleration rate restrictions placed on it though. On the flat I could feel it was trying to deliver power, but was pulling back at the same time. Going downhill, even with the pedal to the metal, barely any fuel was being pumped. The shift pattern is wicked. In first it upshifts at 2000rpm and 2nd, 3rd, 4th at least it upshifts at 2200rpm and downshifts at up to 1500rpm. Very prone to double and the odd triple downshift without trying. 5th gear I'm not sure as the speed limiter was set at 50mph. The hydraulic cooling fans were going like the clappers at times, no issues with overheating. Very enjoyable and I'd definitely like to operate a bus of this type. Maybe one day I'll get to try one with the acceleration rate on the factory setting. As fun as it was, I prefer the MECs at MG for the time being, because they don't have additional performance restrictions. Also had WVL414 which was quite a lively vehicle - video captured by Frozzles - www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrUxvqjs0Ws

When is the 147 moving to SI? No date confirmed. It was suggested it was moving to make space at RR for the 366 and 325 to go electric but these routes are now there and the 147 is able to be run so maybe it won't move after all.

Surely we are moving towards GAL having to give up the 200 due to not being able to run the route with compliant vehicles?

Surely we are moving towards GAL having to give up the 200 due to not being able to run the route with compliant vehicles? If TfL have made an exception then it makes the single deckers compliant.
