What exactly don’t you like about it? Everything TBH - looks horrible but in terms of riding one, I’ll reserve judgement until I’ve used one At first I didn't like it but in fairness I didn't like the Plaxton, the E400, the Frog face and now I'd love to have them all back so I'm probably not the best at embracing something new.

I honestly think if a new bus came out still using the original look it would still be striking.

I see one of these being driven on the M25 on Saturday, its an absolutely hideous bus, even worse when you see it in the flesh. 100 of them? Wow. So glad I don't live on that side of London. What exactly don’t you like about it? The front. Surely that one is obvious. The windows look odd. Side panels everywhere makes it look like a lego bus. Basically .... everything about it. I'm just waiting for someone to tell me they prefer it to a BZL.

But to quote your phrase, "these BD11s oh gosh, they actually look horrible", couldn't agree more. Wait until you see it in the flesh.

As requested I normally ignore your posts but you are wrong with this. The ADL/BYD City has a complete BYD chassis and propulsion system as does the new B11 bus. The new ADL 400E has no origins in the City. It is a project with a new chassis design and propulsion system and yet to be seen in London service. Don’t pick and choose when to reply to me because you want to be a know it all - someone else would have likely corrected me and I’d of listened to them. Make your mind up whether your ignoring me or not or I’ll start reporting you too The game playing and one up man ship needs to seriously stop. Unlike you I do not pretend to know it all.

I'm just waiting for someone to tell me they prefer it to a BZL. I don’t prefer it to a BZL but I genuinely like it, I like that it looks simple and just functional. I personally hate the newest ADL offering, too sharp and over-designed like the latest ugly Toyota car and I severely dislike the now tired looking Wright offering.

These BD11s are a massive step down from the sleek design of the Ees, the E400 EV would’ve been so much better, the E400 EV is probably the best design imo of all the electrics thus far followed by the E400 City & Electroliners I personally am not a fan of BZLs in the slightest and at the time didn’t think they could make a bus uglier than that or the C10s/P5 SD fleet but here we are we are presented with these atrocities (BD11s)

The front. Surely that one is obvious. The front light clusters of the BD11 reminds me very much of a Bova Synergy. The rear lights look like they've come off a Bova Futura. Perhaps someone in the BYD design team is a fan of Bova!
I find the overly protruding area above the wipers to be a clumsy design. If it stuck out less it would make it a bit more elegant. Others seem to have managed to blend in the top mounted wipers better with a sloping windscreen better. It could be that the angles in pictures exaggerates this and when seen in real life it doesn't look as bad?

Can see where you are coming from but to me it screams Temsa before last year's facelift.

The BD11 to me is like the Boris buses in that they'd look better with more modern looking headlights with black surrounds

Noticed 190 on the 434 yesterday afternoon with what looked like a new rear end, with the bonnet and rear bumper certainly replaced. Don’t think it’s been rear ended recently as it’s not been off the road for a long period so was rather interesting to see that. At least the correct style rear bumper was fitted .
