I just saw an EV on the 151, is that a demo bus or the future allocation? Seems to be on it every single day. You wouldve seen EL1 LY71GHZ which is a demonstrator for the route (used to be on the 40 & 119 as well to note) usually on the route to fill in for defective DOEs etc. I think it wasnt long ago that there was talk in the garages between staff and engineers etc that GAL were thinking about placing a brand new electroliner order for the route… Overall time will tell lets just see what happens with that I had a brief chat with the driver of the bus I am currently on. He said GoAhead have ordered new buses that will be able to maneuver around Worcester Park Bus Stand, however he does not know what one. Guess the days of the Tridentviros are numbered?

Well there are no “Tridentviros” at A since E61 left, DOEs are Optare Olympuses

With rumours of the new E400EV for the 320 I don't think it will be a massive surprise to finally see a deviation from BYD and the 151 and 320 could well be following on the from R routes in getting them.

I just saw an EV on the 151, is that a demo bus or the future allocation? Seems to be on it every single day. The 151 has been using Electroliner EL1 since February and it’s been around since April 2022. C and Q have used it in the past on the 40 and 119 and the 23 at X very briefly last year. Theres been a ton of pointless speculation about the 151 using Electroliners but IIRC nothing official Since it's been confirmed that the 200 can now fit Ees after all, could they perhaps just swap the 151 and 200 allocations?

They were originally Euro 4 with ADL E400 chassis but their engines have been replaced so many times who knows what they are now.

I don't think the 200 will use Ees, whilst they can be used for odd workings they are probably not suitable for a full allocation (others on here will know better than me though). These odd workings will probably become more common though, with the 131 getting electrics and the 57 potentially continuing to have a full allocation of Ees. The 151 will most likely receive a new batch of buses which can safely manoeuvre the Worcester Park stand (as has been rumoured quite a bit now), whilst the 200 will probably continue as it is for now, and be awarded with new buses when retendered in 2026.

The Olympus is actually on E40D chassis. Bring Euro 4 doesn’t make them tridents. Same can be said with late 09/59 ref E400s which are classified as E40D.

Does the 178s ever get or had any Hybrids on it? The route had a partial allocation of hybrid Tempos for a while, when it was still with Stagecoach.

Same can be said with late 09/59 ref E400s which are classified as E40D. That’s actually not exactly true. Enviro’s 400’s from the very beginning until 60 reg are classed as Tridents even though it’s a classification I don’t like or use. During 61 reg, WTA spec was introduced which saw changes to the body and as such, the classification switched to E40D or E40H. Same goes for Enviro 200’s - they are known as Darts until 60 reg (again, not a classification I like or use) and during 61 reg, it changed to E20D

I suspect this is what will be used for the 22/88 as opposed to the E400EV

I suspect this is what will be used for the 22/88 as opposed to the E400EV Wonder if this may also include Kites for the SD routes.
