Ah yeah they do, pretty sure they're also unique in the fact the rear seats don't have headrests whereas the Metrocitys and BZLs do

Daily practicalities appear to prove it's presently up to the rim given the depot also houses some rail replacement and trainer buses. This is despite the large number of buses out on night routes

I suspect it is to indicate when the doors are open, maybe it’ll go red when the doors are closed.

The interior is really giving it character, especially the green lights

Not sure BYD are trying to create a disco environment on board.   I recon it’s a set colour which works will with the rest of the interior. If it did change colour the expectation would be loud music on board as well. 

I believe the interior on Abellio/TUK's Caetanos have something a bit similar

They do they’ve got blue ambient lighting, like the BZL DDs

I think the City's up until the high spec had the extra seat. Not sure if the ones on the 63 have it?

The high spec stuff started popping in around the date I mentioned but there maybe a batch or two before the high spec that has no middle seat. The IE's also have no middle seat.

Rode E161 on the 291 today, an Enviro400 from the 337. Very loud engine and very quick on its feet especially around Brewery Road. Need to ride the 337 before it passes to Abellio (or TUK) as its batch of 11-reg seem to be top notch. Always found GALs newer Enviro400s to be quite boring but these actually have some life to them.

Hopefully they do end up on the 99/269/401 as a temporary allocation, as for the 401 they would be reminiscent of the 56reg that used to work the route.

I watched the video showing the tour of a new BYD11 and I have to say that despite the bus resembling a giant piece of Lego on the outside, I also agree that the green lighting will make the interior look fantastic at night, given that it’s my favourite colour and it also reminds me of the Euro 6 E200 buses in Cornwall with their reddish pink lighting that just looks supercool to me.
