Did LVF go down last night as certain night buses had not been listed the ones I was looking at was the N1, 23 N28 and N44 not sure what other route was not tracking? Some routes including the 8, n8 were using xmas eve schedules not loaded into ibus for reduced night buses. This coming week will be just as confusing....

I will be writing to Arriva, Abellio, Go-Ahead, Metroline, RATP and Stagecoach to ask how many times in the past 6 months they have instructed their drivers to break the law. Other than that FOI request to TfL to check iBus data if they refuse No single hold should be more than 2 minutes but there are exceptional circumstances to this. An rtc up the road and advising the drivers to call before proceeding would be an example Someone seems to know the law 👍

TfL requirement, although not a 8 second delay What is done to those 09/59 plate and some 12 plate E400s is entirely down to the operator - they made conscious decision that it's a good idea and have kept the older ones like that for the best part of 10 years. Meanwhile some of the 12 plates can do 65mph and have actually had their acceleration profiles improved from the factory settings in recent years - said buses are occasionally pushed to their limits when they escape onto rail replacement the opportunity presents itself. There is an upper limit on permitted acceleration rates but pretty much every bus on TfL services have always been well within it - even the DB300s and MAN 14.240s. I'm not conviced some Tridents were - 9826 was so dangerously fast below 10mph that even I couldn't press the pedal down with passengers on board until it reached a speed where the acceleration rate eased off! Somehow the factory restriction was removed. 1.2 metres per second is the tfl max acceleration

Just been looking at the latest TfL operator performance league tables, Arriva and Go-Ahead divisions absolutely smashing it lately, both on low and high frequency services. Good work there. Especially excellent performance at Arriva London South. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Watching a route visual of the 331 using the car park to turn at Northwood Station got me thinking; Which other bus routes travel through a car park whilst still in passenger service?
I know that the 282, 483 and 92 do to get to Ealing Hospital, but any other ones?

Goes round back past the old Toys R Us building and past the petrol station and through the car park to get to the Tesco stand.

42 and P13 at East Dulwich Sainsbury's.
273 at Lewisham Tesco - the stand is (or was) under a canopy of the supermarket building.
385 and 397 certainly used to run through the car park at Crooked Billet Sainsbury's; I know it's changed in the past few years but not sure what the new layout is.
W5 used to run through the car park at Harringay Sainsbury's to terminate right outside the supermarket building, but has now moved to a stand just outside the car park.

I believe the P13 does the same at New Cross Sainsbury's, as does the 321 there as well. The 463 uses the car park at Asda Beddington.

As of when CT Plus took the 397 on, it still ran through the car park along with the 385 & W11 and I think that remains the case. Not quite the same as other examples but the 101, 262 & 366 sort of run through the car park at Gallions Reach Retail Park though on their own road which cuts through the car park.

I think there is an issue with interpretation about what 'bus routes travelling through a car park really means.
A service could enter a supermarket site and turn off the access road into a 'service area', like Sainsbury's, Hampton Road.
It could go the stops past or between car parks without entering.
It could enter a car park and only use internal roads. Most park and rides are like this.
The only example where I know a services enter the parking area is the X8 and X8A at Lidl in Blandford Forum where the bus actually passes the end of parking spaces as it turns at the end of the car park. I would add a link to Google Maps; unfortunately the site is still under construction on the latest map.
