One thing I've noticed an awful lot recently - loads of buses with empty ad frames. Marketing budgets are the first corporate expense that will be trimmed, so this is a clear sign of the tough new economic era we are entering. No doubt this is a key part of the TfL financial woes given their reliance on commercial advertising revenues. Read somewhere (but forgotten where, so unable to link) that there are 3 main reasons : 1) With companies shutdown, not spending on extras eg advertising 2) A lot of the adverts were for items not currently on sale (closed retailers etc) 3) Brand loyalty on essentials took massive hit, and undid months/years of loyalty during panic buying at start, as people grabbed whatever they could. Today’s LOTs magazine mentions how all over ads have fallen No surprise at all-over adverts. Any company would have to be mad to pay for an all-over advert in March to come out in April or even May. The footfall isn't there, people are not going out as much, it would be better spent online where people have been more over the past 2 months or on TV/radio.

Thanks I haven't received either the April or May edition yet and with currently no Saturday delivery and Monday being a Bank Holiday, it'll be Tuesday at the earliest before I receive them

Something that's been bothering me, and I imagine a few other car drivers is the constant parking of buses right at the bottom of the Griggs Approach Bridge in Ilford ( flic.kr/p/2j4AQLk ). A parked bus there creates a terrible blind spot for buses coming out of the main stand and I've seen a few near misses because of it. I have already submitted a complaint in the past but nothing seems to be getting done. Not quite sure what else can be done about it so hopefully others have suggestions, or maybe I'm just overreacting

Hopefully nobody comes along and burns it, as that's a problem these days

Are there any other examples besides the 50 & all Brixton terminating routes except the P4 where they run to stand for a fair distance passing one or multiple bus stops that they don't stop at before reaching the stand?
By this, I'm not counting a group of stops by the alighting points but stops actually in a different area - for example, the 50 passes three stops (196 & P5 Stockwell Station stop which wouldn't count as the 50 serves it's own Stockwell Station stop, Binfield Road stop & the stop on South Lambeth Road just before the corner) and bar the P4, the other terminating routes in Brixton pass the stop for the Academy before they even reach the stand of which something I've long thought should actually be the alighting point as the Academy is well used in it's own right.

The 205 at Bow Church passes the Bow Church stop towards Stratford or Old Ford. The reason for this being some buses stand in the garage and some buses stand on the roadside stand meaning there's no pattern as to whether the bus has taken stand time when it passes the stop which makes sense. Although it would have been useful if all buses stood in the garage and could provide common stops with the 8 towards Liverpool Street. The 368 has an opposite scenario, it leaves its stand/first stop and then runs right past the Chadwell Heath Lane stop to go to Herbert Gardens. I imagine this is because it'd mean the Barking bond 368 stops with the Marks Gate bound 62 which would cause confusion but it would still make a useful stop I imagine.
