i actually like the 27 its the quickest for me on my way to school because they come in bunches of 2 at the am peak and the drivers are really fast. i hate the 24 with a passion, we do not speak of it. also now that i think of it, if there is no hopper fare for the zip cards, could trains be cheaper, its two trains to school aswell 🤠either could take the Victoria and Jubilee or just the Metropolitan which is quite a long walk or I can get the Overground and walk i know its 85p at am peak same i like the 27 but sometimes the wait times are long at warren street on a sunday morning especially if i miss it so i just take 205 to paddington then walk to Notting hill or if a 31/328/28 comes ill take that oh yes on a sunday they are horrible. im from warren street and the 27 come about every 13 minutes its crazy.

£3 a day for 5 days a week is £15. You roughly spend 40 weeks in school a year. Per week you will spend £15 where 15x40= £600 over the year for me its more as i take 2 buses to church sometimes 3 if the 27 takes to long and walking is not an option as its too far so 2 buses back and theres no hopper fare so ill basically be poor. In my day we would have organised a school strike and refused to attend until we got our free travel back.

my parents told me about that aswell back in the day there were school travelcard passes?? im not sure When I was at secondary school, we had special blue passes that you apply for from the council every term - at the end of my time in secondary school, the Zip Oyster came along from memory. Unlike with the Zip Card where I had no issue getting one, Lambeth initially refused me one of the bus passes as it was based on how far you lived from the school (I lived a smidge over the 3 mile mark) and also queried why I was attending a school in Croydon even though it was on the border with Lambeth

And should be even cheaper with passes What passes? Sure they will be introduced when fares return ... there for adults fares and children in other parts of the country ... not like it is rocket science.

Ive seen rumours on social media about removing free travel on the Zip oyster cards? Can anyone confirm this is true and how much the fare is and when it will start? I travel to a very far school, 2 buses any route which I take (3 possible ways) for go and return so looks like a lot of money will be gone from me, and not the wealthiest. If only the 31 was extended a little central past its terminus, guess Im going to have start walking more, will be horrible at 8am though. All of this is still being worked through and subject to change. There is going to be a press release once the Gov./Sadiq are happy with everything; essentially for the Under 18s it's proposed from September to remove free travel, with 11-15s being left alone until next year. If you live more than 2/3 miles (I don't know what the criteria will be) away from your school, you can apply for free travel which is not limited to school times. This is an obligation on TfL's part so will form part of the final package whatever happens, so not to worry

How come for routes like the 34 the buses are capped to 39/42 MPH cause the B5LH engines are powerful and pick up speed fairly quickly so i dont understand why theyre capped cause its also dangerous for highway routes and its not the B5LHs only

BU05HFX parked up at Putney Bridge Think it's been mentioned before it's being used as a meal relief bus?
