Was gonna do the Overground to Battersea Park tomorrow... so naturally I get COVID 3 days before. God knows when that opportunity will come again can always do the 2303 from Battersea Park towards Dalston Junction- think there's an early morning journey as well

Over the last year there had been a Metroline DES (871) parked up near Southgate Station on The Bourne. It suddenly disappeared and then a commercial liveried example took it's place. Taking dogs to park this morning and DES871 has returned! AFAIK it's not been sold as it still has onwer details and a "W" allocation. A bit far from either W or PB and an odd location to choose to park up a bus. You'd have thought local council or police might be less than impressed!

Sorry if I have missed this but do we know what the new bus fares will be in January? I assume they have to increase?

The bus fares are now £1.55 they went up at the beginning of the year I’m talking about next years increase. I don't expect the fares will increase until TfL and the Government agree a long-term funding package. The annual rail fares increase in 2022 is postponed to March.

So now the crazy mayor wants to decriminalise drug offences in London. That’s going to make bus travel safer?? Time to scrap the role of mayor totally.

So now the crazy mayor wants to decriminalise drug offences in London. That’s going to make bus travel safer?? Time to scrap the role of mayor totally. I saw this and I am absolutely appalled. It will just lead to more exploitation of the youth by gangs because the young will just get a slap on the wrist if caught rather than a criminal record or potential prison time. It’s frankly dangerous and could lead to a serious increase in drug use across the city. I understand the sentiment behind it, freeing up police time, prison cells and courts but honestly it’s a very risky plan. It’s playing with all of our lives.

Portugal did in 2001, I will link to this article for anyone who is interested to look beyond the knee-jerk reaction. I'm not debating the issue on this forum as it is far too toxic. It would be good if you too linked to your source so I can read what is actually being proposed here. I suspect that, like Portugal, it falls well short of a free-for-all. transformdrugs.org/blog/drug-decriminalisation-in-portugal-setting-the-record-straight
