But right now it's mostly the initial connection of the first chargers at garages causing a problem, only problems in future is local grid capacity for example Enfield right now but I think it's sorted now? Whilst you have a valid point, only a handful of routes manage 100% EV. It seems that Diesels & Hybrids are always needed to backup. That true as well but we are seeing ranges slowly improve such as new BYD, ADL and upgraded Electroliner buses. We can all agree Khan rushed electrics but I feel like development of these electrics wouldn't have been that fast if TfL hadn't tapped into the market with a guarantee of only buying new electric buses. It come as no surprise that route like 360 & 444 are getting new electrics

Out of interest, now the 316 for sometime has been extended to Brent Cross West Station, will it be converted to DD in the near future?

I bet theirs a consultation at some point in the near future about the E6 being permanently withdrawn between Greenford Station and Greenford Broadway. It’s weird how TfL haven’t put any up to date information about the E6 in the bus stops but still have the old ones that says it’s temporary until 12 May. It’s gone beyond 12 May now and TfL website hasn’t said anything. London Bus net says it will return in August. The only reason why it can’t go back to Greenford Station is because the bus stand is closed which is odd because the 105s still continue to use it even though they aren’t supposed to. In fact the 105s seem to just stand wherever. TfL might as well reopen the stand bring back the E6. They have reopened the bus stop they might as well reopen the stand to. The stand was only closed because of the road works but it hasn’t been affected by the roadworks so they might as well reopen it.

Although I'm not sure shortening the E6 which is already a short-ish route is a good idea

Today is twenty years since Walthamstow Central Bus Station opened following rebuild It is one of the better stations if not the best (but that could be biased). It has seen many changes in and around it and to be honest there have been some improvements (e.g. widening of the exit). The constant changes of bus stop arrangements has been annoying. The current addition of the crossing lights is odd and if it leads to service changes would be terrible. Apparently, TfL will try and mitigate loss of stand by seeing what route's schedule can be amended which sounds ominous.

The crossings are going to be permanent (after some works by the end of the year) according to what I've seen (I think it was on the Board documents).

Today is a good example of how it being a sunny summer day in what is really a peak tourist season (plus midweek) is really boosting bus usage in Central London.

The newish bus lane on the Southend Road / A1400 nearly caught me out today as I rarely use this road. This bus lane seems a bit pointless and takes up a single lane on a busy dual carriage way which probably causes lots of congestion in the peaks.
Was this really needed? Does it run all the road to Gants Hill? I notice lots of the bus lane blue signs are still covered but believe it is in use. I thought that was Woodford Avenue , this imo was nothing more than a Khan election stunt. I would have rather they spent the money and put a bus lane towards Walthamstow by taking out the pavement and island bus stops on the westbound towards Walthamstow between Clayhall junction all the way up to Tesco as there is so much space there to do this. All they would need to do is relocate the lamp posts. This is where the traffic hold up is. This is another case of TfL not having a clue on bus routes and what effects them and just plonking a bus lane for the sake of it. Even worse, the eastbound is NOT needed, there is NEVER any traffic on the approach to the Beehive Lane roundabout junction, not even in the evening. I have also noticed that the bus lane signs have had some spray painted and overs are covered by black bags, not sure what is going on. The signs appeared to have been covered over 3 weeks ago now. After being up for nearly 5 months.

Today is twenty years since Walthamstow Central Bus Station reopened following rebuild Strange when it opened it was a super capacity compared to before, and the through running services like 230, W12 etc was made to go inside to serve it. Now it is at capacity and can no longer hold as much buses as buses are being made to use South Grove and Courtney Mews out of service like 34 and SL2. Also routes like 97 and 357 no longer serve it. When it opened it was light years ahead, now it has gone down a bit imo.

All very odd as there is not even a bus lane here.

Down to people not knowing how to cross the road and also running for buses. This happened so many times before at the Selborne Rd crossing and then also the one in the old station near the 257 stop where people always run across. The new station, the back market crossing always had idiots running across causing buses to slam on brakes. The underpass subway from the Victoria line into the station itself probably save a few more lives from people running across the Selborne Rd crossing when it opened.

Didn’t Khan once promise that they’ll be more bus lanes and priorities once I haven’t seen any new bus lanes or priorities since he made that announcement.
