Yeah your right there. The humps on Hale End Road are a disaster especially on the northern part from Highams Park - Wadham Road, the bus literally drops to 10mph cos they are so rough! Saying that last week I was at St James waiting for it then sussed out all 5 x buses in a row were Hybrids. I thought arghhhhhh so gave up and took the W19 to Ilford instead lol. I prefer it when a route uses one bus type tbf cos it saves confusion and keeps travelling simpler. It may be simpler for you but I absolutely love those LX61 E400Hs so idm the 275 being a mix of E40D & E40H. And if you dont get any traffic on 275 (which admittedly is rare) youโll have a great ride That being said I really hope the LX61s are retained for another 3yr contract on the 56 although I have my doubts I get your point and gonna agree the LX61 are fast flowing but in general I would rather have routes with full allocations rather than mixed/partial cos if you want a certain type you can be stuck waiting for a while ๐. I have always disliked partial allocations regardless of what engine type is awarded. Another thing which I find funny is that a small amount of routes on a full Diesel contract use different types than allocated on paper.

Thats a good point actually, for example if you aimed for any bus on 57 in praticular in summer 2023 youd prob be waiting a little while haha Not sure how many diesel routes that applies to nowdays although probably 422, 275 at times and theres prob other examples. That being said in general diesel DD allocations arent really as strict as to how many different types can be used. Obviously most diesel SD routes are more strict

One route that can be a pain is the 123, even to fully DW allocated on paper at times it is HV central lol! The only routes that I could actually think of was the 275 & 422 funnily enough, can we name anymore? The 145 sees a mix too these days but think it is partially allocated now?

Those DWs on 123 arent the best but I certainly would take them over G3s myself so I dont blame you 145 is fully allocated mmcs (half diesel & half hybrid) on paper per its contract, although Barking BK is another garage that likes to mix their buses alot. so E40Ds on 145 is still a daily occurance, you also get hybrids on 62 or 169 often.

I think the SL2 would be better. The 275 and SL2 also cross over on the A406 thanks to the 275โs tedious diversion due to the Broadmead Road bridge closure. The 275 goes off the motorway to rejoin LOR and itโs slow around Highams Park, 20 backstreets and constant stopping whilst the SL2 heads straight for Walthamstow. Yeah your right there. I prefer it when a route uses one bus type tbf cos it saves confusion and keeps travelling simpler. How on earth is it simpler. Goodness sake it is just a bus!
