Maybe down to the time it is being entered into the ibus. There has been a problem over the past year network wide after a software update. This prevented some curtailments being entered on the current trip. If the driver did enter it, it would then end up showing on the next round that they are doing towards Havering Park. The 175 and 294 seems to work fine with displaying Collier Row, so I don't get why this is an issue affecting some routes, and until this issue is solved then maybe TFL should withdraw Collier Row as a curtailment point for the 365, as no one wants to wait 10+ mins for a bus for it to not end up where you need it to go.

I'm pretty sure I've seen 365s on Countdown displays showing Collier Row and Romford Market, and definitely seen 252s showing Romford Market or Elm Park on Countdown displays when I lived in Elm Park Every 365 I've seen curtailed to Collier Row, since about last year, has never been set up correctly, where I would reach the stop at Romford Station, and still see Havering Park on the screen despite the blinds saying otherwise... Parkside Avenue seems to work fine most of the time.

The 365 isn’t often curtailed to Collier Row despite what other members may suggest however I can confirm the Collier Row blind and ibus do show when the controller sets it to be so, just like all the other curtailments. I personally really enjoy using the 365 and I do feel it is very reliable but that’s just my view. Looking forward to hopefully a Stagecoach retain, would love to see some new electric buses on the route seeing as it’s not seen new buses since 2008 when it received then new E400s.

It is down to TfL, at times the 175 may not be able to show Becontree Heath also. It is software based and TfL are aware of this.

The traffic by Cromwell Road Bus Stn temporary stops is very bad and standstill, yet the 57/131/213 just sit in the traffic and ignore the bus stops because they’re not supposed to stop whilst the 85 is. I’ve posted about this before but the fact that they’re just sat by the bus stops in the traffic makes it even more annoying that they can’t stop!!! Thankfully this morning a K2 was by a 57 so I was able to get on briefly and intercept the 57 around the corner but the stop ignoring is still very annoying.

I believe the 85 stops there as it is a useful connection for students coming from Ealing and the Hamptons directions for onward travel to the Kingston Hill site. Besides there isn’t a lot of room to have all of them stopping there. Thankfully Cromwell Road is coming along quite well. Signage is already up and it appears to be entering the final stages of the rebuild. Hopefully it should be open before the busy Christmas period.

A friend in East London* has reported that her office is closing early as protestors may be gathering. If you are in East London try and stay safe, and try to keep away from situations that could flare up. Also be aware that buses in East London may be disrupted this afternoon/evening (Weds 7th).
* I'm not being any more specific than that as I don't want to inadvertently direct troublemakers to specific locations.

Having read a post elsewhere, does anyone know what combinations of letters are used for standard registration plates, or have a link to a website that has this info? By that, I’m meaning the last three letters of a registration.
Many thanks!

The newish bus lane on the Southend Road / A1400 nearly caught me out today as I rarely use this road. This bus lane seems a bit pointless and takes up a single lane on a busy dual carriage way which probably causes lots of congestion in the peaks.
Was this really needed? Does it run all the road to Gants Hill? I notice lots of the bus lane blue signs are still covered but believe it is in use. I thought that was Woodford Avenue , this imo was nothing more than a Khan election stunt. I would have rather they spent the money and put a bus lane towards Walthamstow by taking out the pavement and island bus stops on the westbound towards Walthamstow between Clayhall junction all the way up to Tesco as there is so much space there to do this. All they would need to do is relocate the lamp posts. This is where the traffic hold up is. This is another case of TfL not having a clue on bus routes and what effects them and just plonking a bus lane for the sake of it. Even worse, the eastbound is NOT needed, there is NEVER any traffic on the approach to the Beehive Lane roundabout junction, not even in the evening. I have also noticed that the bus lane signs have had some spray painted and overs are covered by black bags, not sure what is going on. The signs appeared to have been covered over 3 weeks ago now. After being up for nearly 5 months. So it appears now that this is not operational. Wasting tax payers money again Khan. Covering over the signs is ridiculous, they need to have signs saying USE BUS LANE as it is still causing people to not use it. I am sure if there are no visible signs then a bus lane then must be assumed to be 24 hours in operation.Woodford Avenue, Ilford Superloop bus lane signs covered upSigns for a bus lane in Ilford which prompted public backlash have been covered over whilst the scheme is reviewed.www.ilfordrecorder.co.uk/news/24385939.woodford-avenue-ilford-superloop-bus-lane-signs-covered/

The SL2 has many major traffic hotshots but putting a bus lane somewhere it doesn't actually have any traffic issues is ridiculous and just a PR stunt.

According to the FOI I linked in the Superloop thread they are ostensibly doing so to collect data on traffic flows without the bus lane being present (which makes me think that they were such in a rush to implement it pre-Superloop that they didn't do the usual data collection before putting it in place?)

I don't think any anti-fare evasion operation is 'profitable' in the world. Inefficient, sure perhaps, you could probably make the entire thing more cost-effective, but in addition there is the unquantified benefit in having some level of deterrence which may put people off (though one could argue that the deterrence level is not very high given how rarely you end up seeing a sting).

I was aware of this issue for a while and I dont quite believe you spend £500k and not have done some pre-assessment of issues and need. The data they collect now would not be accurate. I suspect they may have missed a step in the process to implement this that leaves them open to challenge. Additionally, I am pretty sure the signs were not covered early on so they were as operational as you can get.
