Just checking the bus times to see this interesting information note at the top: "Out tonight? So are we. Route 213 runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week" Interesting if you ask me, although honestly I can't see this attracting that many people to the bus. More wasted TFL money..... invest it in bringing back the buses instead! EDIT: A few mins later and the message is gone

EDIT: A few mins later and the message is gone That would suggest to me that the night 213's loading figures are under scrutiny, possibly with a view to withdrawal unless they improve, but then I'm a hard-bitten cynic, or so my wife tells me.

EDIT: A few mins later and the message is gone The Countdown screens here do that to all the 24h routes like the 25, EL1, 238 and night routes like the N15. Technically not a waste of money as it's a digital display they're probably already paying the electricity cost for regardless.

It also has this showing on the 264 so I assume it’s some kind of generic non targeted type thing

Whilst I think the 47 deserves better on a Sunday there is no getting away from the fact is a pale shadow of the route it once was, clearly the improved ELL services have stolen a lot of its custom. The ELL only really serves two places on the route - Shoreditch and the area around Canada Water/Surrey Quays. It's not very busy around Shoreditch, obviously, as buses don't tend to get packed at terminals, so I can see where you're coming from. That said, the route's Sunday ridership is certainly healthy - buses are rammed and the service has a tendency to collapse under the weight of all the passengers trying to use it! Certainly a different story to what happens during the rest of the week when seemingly everyone has abandoned the route... Another contributory factor in the drop in usage on the 47 must be the decline in the Blue Market in Bermondsey. My daughter mentioned going there recently and she couldn't believe how quiet it was compared to a few years ago. I suppose most people get their bargains on e-bay nowadays? If current trends continue it won't be long until a lot of routes are busiest on a Sunday, how times have changed!

Wonder what happened to cause this, interesting the frequency of buses are just being reduced instead of diverting the routes completely which was the case in Romford a few years ago. EDIT: Forgot it was Halloween

You sure they were not the forum's mafia protesting about blind banditry? **Dang, seems I was beaten to the comment**

The annual collection of Poppy buses has been unveiled near TfL HQ at the Olympic Park. Mostly NB4Ls but I see an Arriva HA and a E400 (Tower Transit I think)
