is that an ex-GAG bus, or just on hire? It's former Go Ahead London LDP247, last on the 170 before it was upgraded to 10.7m ex Blue Triangle DP's & new 10.7m SE's. The whole batch was returned to the lessor so it's very likely it's only on hire in the same way the ex Go Ahead PDL's are also on hire to CT Plus.

Indeed DP1 is. Think CT Plus should form with go-ahead as they seem to be aquring some of their buses such as 3 PDLs, LDP8 and so fourth. Speaking of DP1 I just had a ride on it this evening coming home from college.

I doubt that DP1 is on loan, as it has gained an interior refurb, and a full repaint. Could be to replace DPS1 and all of the X-reg HDCs (I think they are known as) as these have Euro II engines and don't meet TfL age limits? DPS1 I think is now London's oldest 'normal' service (i.e. non-heratage) bus

When is the 153's contract up for renewal? I ask because that bus would be too old for TfL service for the next few years - especially with the new emissions regulations.

DPS1 wasn't brought for the 153, I believe it's a spare for all their routes like 8007-8 at BC are spares for the single deck routes .

Looking forward to seeing how the Optare's ordered for the 309 are going to manage round parts of the route. Some parts of the 309 are better suited for buses with the front wheels situated behind the driver's cab.

I've used the 309 quite frequently and its mainly 9.3m DMs. But If CT Plus is ordering Dual Door Solos then they come in a form of 10.4m/10.6m, I think. Im sure 10.4m can fit on the 309, but when I heard Optaré Solo I was thinking 7.8m/8.8m Solo's. If that was the case then they would have to increase the 309 PVR by 2 or 3, as the 309 can get busy at times.

Look at the tight turns around the estates in the Poplar area. Even sometimes the 9.4m buses struggle to turn within that area

That clears up why CT plus accquired this bus and why their where numerous odd allocations across all CT Plus single deck routes. As CT plus lost two consecutive single deckers in the space of few weeks.

That is a shame, I liked that bus not for the looks but it had better ride and seats than the x reg HDC's.

Solo's don't come in 10.4 or 10.6m the longest was 10.2m but i think that has been dropped now as the versa is here which comes in 10.4m and the tempo comes in 10.6m. I thinm the longest solo now is 9.9m open to corrections.
