I would be interested if LU are running any Rugby services today. I know Go Ahead replaced them a while back, but LU’ applied for a service permit for the same route ( to and from Richmond only)

Yeah I cannot see them going elsewhere, they will be getting onto 12 years old by the time they're all withdrawn, too old for another contract and aside form the odd 07 reg DE there isn't anything older than them 10.2m E200 wise. They might replace the last 07 reg ones still in service. DE20010 is on the 33 today.

My bright hope would be for electrics for the 306 giving V some too and it could result in some strays on to my local E3 but I don't think the prospect fo electrics is that likely even though for RATP it'd be a powerful trump card to fend off opponents All that installation for one small route which has hybrids anyway? I don't know if you've noticed but there's often a difference between what one wants and what they anticipate. The use of the phrase 'bright hope' was supposed to insinuate it what what I wanted, not expected. There are, of course, other routes at V more worthy of electrics than the 306 - the main one being the 9

Nowt wrong wit.

Indeed but the cost to run the 14 & 74 would be far greater hence why AF still has them. There are some routes in the network that an operator change is quite unlikely. Put out here a route I can never see leaving an operator is the 38. No space to hold a route of that size so you'd have to open a brand new garage. Routes 29, 73 & 149 seem safe with Arriva too.

What's going to happen to the 633 allocation once the 406 and 418 move to TV? Wonder if that will move too or a double decker will remain at EB to cover that duty?

There is also double deck working on 293 and a pair of double decks on 467 so allowing for a spare, suggests they will keep 5 double decks I think the 2 11-reg are for 467, but to keep it simple maybe could keep 5 identical 14-reg
