It appears that work has started to dismantle Busways House at Fulwell. Head office functions have moved to Garrick House at Stamford Brook. I'm a bit confused about this, for a couple of reasons. 1) I haven't been able to find any recent or historic planning applications for the demolition of Busways House. 2) If the process of demolishing Busways House was already underway, with all 'head office' administration already having moved to Garrick House, London United should have updated these details with Companies House, which it hasn't (yet?) done. This is a legal requirement for simple practical purposes - if a company moves its registered office to another location, third parties must be able to direct correspondence to the new address without interruption. While London United isn't vacating the Fulwell Garage site - meaning that any correspondence addressed there will still reach LU - that doesn't mitigate LU's legal obligation to update its registered office details with Companies House. It's worth noting that there is an active planning application for the Fulwell Garage site, which was submitted to Richmond Council on 15 May, and approved five days ago on 15 July. The summary description of that proposal is: The PDF diagrams of the existing cabin and the new replacement cabin and link building both show Busways House in place. I may be completely wrong - and I hope that more knowledgeable persons will correct me if I am - but I believe that the demolition work observed is solely related to the replacement of the cabin building. Nothing that I can find supports the notion that Busways House is being demolished. The plans show the demolition of the cabins (portakabin type building), and not the brick building (Busways House). Clearly the users of the cabins would need to vacate prior to demolition. The cabins can be seen in streetview Google streetview of Fulwell garage The justification is existing cabins are life expired, and need to be replaced before RATP moves all its I-bus in October, there is more detail in attached, and appears replacement cabins will be craned in 18-19 August images.richmond.gov.uk/iam/IAMCache/3140194/3140194.pdf

Not sure that is totally 100% correct as when I had my company, my registered address at companies house was that of my accountant. It was his suggestion.

Not sure that is totally 100% correct as when I had my company, my registered address at companies house was that of my accountant. It was his suggestion. I think we're talking about two different things. Your registered address can be a location at which your business does not even operate, as in the case of your accountant's office - that's quite right. But the registered office does have to be an actual address. In this case, it was claimed that Busways House was being demolished (which would mean that it no longer exists as an address), and that its head office has already been transferred to another location. If Busways House was no longer in use, and about to be removed from existence, the registered office of the company would, by necessity, have to change. This could, for example, be changed to another building/address on the Fulwell Garage site; but given the necessity of changing the address anyway to refer to a building that does actually exist, it would surely make sense to switch to the Garrick House location where the new company headquarters were said to be. Either way, if Busways House was being eliminated, London United's registered office would be a non-existent address, which would not comply with the Companies Act 2006. Whether it was changed to "The Portakabin, Fulwell Garage, Wellington Road", or to Garrick House in Stamford Brook, or to another location entirely, the point is that it would have to be changed. In your own example, if your accountant moved his office to another building and his old office was demolished, you could still keep your registered address at his office, but that address would have to be updated with Companies House. That said, it doesn't really matter now as the evidence available clearly indicates that Busways House is going nowhere.

Is anyone able to give an update on SP40002's location and whether its likely to be back in service any time soon?

It’s not uncommon for small businesses, assuming yours was, to be registered like this. It makes it easier for accountants to respond to requests from HMRC etc especially if your accountant was also handling your payroll. The company I work for used to register like this but recently changed when the accounting was taken in house as the old ones shut down.

Don't you just love people who get their knickers in a knot and like to question every detail... Busways House is not the brick building, it's the portakabin block. This block is being replaced with a new accommodation for certain operational departments to be centralised. The address of Busways house will remain (whether the registered address is changed, or the name Busways house survives remains to be seen. RATP House? lol..)

That document is a good find - it helps to clarify what's happening. It clearly shows that Busways House isn't being dismantled/demolished, but it also notes that the cabin building and as you pointed out, it clarifies that the new cabins This would explain the transfer of some administrative functions to Garrick House that deppy42 mentioned - not from Busways House, which we know is staying, but from the cabins that are being demolished and replaced. So Busways House remains London United head office - and will presumably retain some administrative presence in order to operate effectively as such - but some company functions will now be managed from Stamford Brook. The mists have cleared, and all finally makes sense.

Then why is Busways House clearly identified on all the plans - and on all supporting documentation presented to authorities, and in all descriptions of works - as the brick building, with the cabins labelled as an entirely separate annexe? Why do the architects - who have presumably been guided by London United management, and who will have carried out extensive surveying of the site - describe "the Busways House office" as being the brick building independent of the cabin structure? I mean, it's fun to have a go at people for being pedants and for obsessing over every detail, but it does help to ensure one's own details are accurate before doing so.

That post that you responded to was written before I had the opportunity to read your previous post. I stand corrected (even though your correction makes little sense given the available evidence). But you should definitely inform London United management, Richmond Council, and the architects of this fact because, clearly, none of them were aware of it either.

Do we know what the allocation for the N5 will be? My guess is that, at least initially, the 79's 18/68reg VHs will be used, as these were reblinded when transferring back to BT, with the N5 include. Though I expect ADHs will be used when reblinded, there are more of them than VHs.

I got it wrong then, and always thought the offices were Busways House, (and it appears plans have made same mistake), with the portakabins being an extension to the building. I haven’t checked nameplates on front of brick building and am not in area so defer to others. Didn’t realise the legal offices are only cabins (presumably therefore with their own letterbox, as have to be able to serve documents on legal office) What I don’t really understand is why Richmond Council have spectacularly failed, having issued the existing portakabins with a 5 year temporary planning permission 20 years ago, but forgetting to enforce removal.

Is anyone able to give an update on SP40002's location and whether its likely to be back in service any time soon? Not sure where it is, but unlikely to come back From what I heard all 2006 SPs are due to be stood down by end of July As some schools have now closed for summer, others are already out of use I think following already out of use : 40002, 40003, 40005, 40007, 40009 The 10 ADEs on loan to Abellio should be back by time schools resume, so the old SPs needed anymore.
