AFAIK at present there isn't an announcement of "the driver has been instructed to drive at the pace of an 85 year old man in his Honda Jazz on a Sunday drive" so I (if I were a driver) would preferably take the first option. Sorry if there are any Honda Jazz drivers on here but from limited observation the majority appear to be one hundred and eleventy seven years old I never thought the day would come when I'd share a bus forum post with my dad, but I'll have to show him this one. He's 77 and drives a Jazz... but he drives it like a rally driver rather than your average one hundred and eleventy-year old In fact he's usually the one shouting at people to "get a bl00dy move on, I haven't got all day

Oh I definitely agree tih you about the driving well below the speed limit now I know alot of people may not agree with me but in my opinion I think drivers should wait at bus stops if they are running too early rather than drive down the road at 8-12moh in a 30 limit when the road is clear ahead of them. Doing this in a driving test would get you a minor and persistence would end up in failing the test so exactly, bus drivers shouldn't be allowed to do this. Doesn't do anyone any good. After all, the iBus is equipped with an announcement along the lines of "the driver has been instructed to wait here to regulate the service." AFAIK at present there isn't an announcement of "the driver has been instructed to drive at the pace of an 85 year old man in his Honda Jazz on a Sunday drive" so I (if I were a driver) would preferably take the first option. Sorry if there are any Honda Jazz drivers on here but from limited observation the majority appear to be one hundred and eleventy seven years old Precisely I was told in my driving lessons you shouldn't drive so slow under the speed limit that it provokes other road users into dangerous manoeuvres to get past, you will get a fail.

My instructor said similar during my lessons - he said 2 mph under the limit is all you really need to be 13 & 328 drivers down Finchley Road (13s down baker Street aswell), 94 & 390 drivers down Oxford Street need to understand this especially in the early mornings when no one is about. Ofcourse in the middle of the day on Oxford Street for example I can't complain as people always stepping out etc but at 6-10 am in the morning Oxford Street is dead and these lot driving at 5-7mph down the road it's beyond annoying and it's not like they don't have plenty of space to wait at stops!!

So next weekend we see the 139 go to ML with its G2 temporarily going to SO for the 183, allowing more SP’s to go to the H98 with those DLE’s going to FW/SO to release DE1-17 as they are not ULEZ compliant

Are all the 139 VHs going to the 183? What will the school bus extras be?

Are all the 139 VHs going to the 183? What will the school bus extras be? Judging by a post in the thread above it’d seem they are moving to SO for the 183. The 183 is currently allocated Scanias and 6 VHRs. So this will likely release the Scanias for schools and the 183 would run with 23 VHs (13 reg) and 6 VHRs until the 28 moves to RATP. This gives the route 4 spares which could allow refurbishments to be done for the 28s contract whilst they are operating the 183. I think we’ll likely see the 65 reg move elsewhere, there has been no official mention on that yet.

I think that Scania are heading towards the H98 as they are still not fully double decked yet and it was waiting for SP’s to become free

Seems to be a lot of spare VHs coming off: - VH45126-VH45128 - VH45153-VH45155 - VH45255-VH45257 - VH45156-VH45162
There needs to be three more buses to complete the 423 allocation so could potentially see three going there. The 306 VHs I reckon could be used for bids on other routes (example X140).
