Ridiculous if true. Can't resolve anything if you don't meet. Pathetic management need to get a grip. I don’t think a strike phases the French. It’s part of process for them. Absolutment The RATP strike in Paris is an annual event!

According to an RATP driver, the company have cancelled an upcoming meeting with Unite so the strikes this weekend are almost certain to go ahead. Ridiculous if true. Can't resolve anything if you don't meet. Pathetic management need to get a grip. Why, if the union have informed they are not shifting from what is considered an unacceptable position, why waste their time. If RATP have won all these contracts with the projected cost savings, they may not have much room to budge.

It also has a strategic strength, if Unite can’t meet the company, then people will question why they should lose pay on the request of an organisation that has no influence in running the company. It has reversed the situation from Pathetic management to strong management and impotent union

It has reversed the situation from Pathetic management to strong management and impotent union When I said pathetic I was expressing annoyance that by cancelling a meeting thousands of passengers will be disrupted. But I also see your point above and actually hope that is true. I suppose if RATP drivers see a union locked out of any influence it begs the question why subscribe to them. I continue to be wound up by Unite going on about ratp exploiting Covid19. I mean hang on, who are the ones using the pandemic as a means to get higher pay?

At what point would Unite need to stage a fresh ballot?

I’ overheard a small group of RATP drivers suggesting instead of striking and losing a days pay, they should report sick with covid symptoms, every group of staff going on stike would have those "I'm gonna go sick" conversations, wouldn't be a "serious" conversation or a serious course of action they would be considering

With the return of the ADEs from Stagecoach it seems that the VHs being displaced from RP are making their way over to FW.

I do like RATP sometimes, they keep us guessing! VHs from RP (not needed anymore since ADEs returned) probably moving to FW to cover for the refurbishments I presume. The VHs that moved to V were covering for the VOR ADHs so some of those could be moving to FW to cover for their refurbishments.
