I hope the ADEs at BT get replaced by 2023 as I'm so bored of seeing them on the 142 You may get your wish unless the route gets a 2 year extension, I can’t see the ADE’s doing another 5 years now that all bus contracts are 7 years. Be careful what you wish for though, because you’ll think the same when electrics are ordered for the 142. I felt the same about Arriva’s 08 reg T’s at TC when I used to use the 466 on a regular basis, especially when there were DB250 DW’s about which I used to find much more enjoyable to ride, but now all but 7 of them have been replaced by 13 reg DW’s I do miss them.

As expected, most if not all of the DLE’s for 216/411 now sport the correct garage code on the sides. And just to confuse matters more DLE30067 has gained HH garage codes over the weekend……. Makes me wonder what on earth is going on at RATP sometimes…

I'm not sure RATP will get an extension on the 142, given BT's poor service on the route, with regular bunching and curtailments. New electrics would be likely if RATP were to retain the route, unless they have any spare hybrids at the time. Though W and EW are both well placed to run the route, and even SM could be possible if space is available (e.g. if the 217 is lost). I could see the 258 get a contract extension, however the bid for the current contract was based on the route being run from SO, so might be more expensive if RATP bid from BT next time.

Fantastic, how does that even happen? There’s still a few floating around with FW, and some with WK. You would assume that those showing HH would be corrected promptly.

If you looked at the performance graphs, there is nothing dramatic at all about poor performance, for either the 142 or 258.

Did any of the 13 reg VH Gemini 2s ever stray on the 183 during 2018 or 2019, even though they were at a different garage to the 183?

Did any of the 13 reg VH Gemini 2s ever stray on the 183 during 2018 or 2019, even though they were at a different garage to the 183? You can search for individual buses here :
In the search box type fullhist followed by the bus reg number.

Saw LT 675 head down the Great West Road towards Brentford and Twickenham from V this afternoon...wonder if it's on its way to FW...
According to LVF, this bus hasn't been seen for 10 days...

Engineers from V often use the Great West Road I’m assuming to road test the buses at higher speeds before putting them back into service. I used to see not in service ADHs and LTs all the time going around Henlys Roundabout and heading back towards central. If it is going to FW it would be a little odd to send one in the middle of the 211 batch.

So my predicted allocations….. H45101-45121 - 28/N28 VH45122-123 - 639 & 670 VH45124-45138 - 613/662/418 VH45139-45144 - H91 VH45145-45152 - 116 VH45153-155 - 85 VH45156-45161 - 481 VH45162-45167 - 71 VH45168-45181 - 85 VH45182-190 - H91 VH45191-197 - 71 VH45198-45202 - 18/N18 VH45216-45246 - 18/N18 VH45247-45251 - 423 VH45255-45257 - 423 VH45262-45277 - 105 daytime service VH45298-45309 - 79 VH45310-45317 - 406 VH45318-45319 - 681 Might leave TV a bit top heavy and FW perhaps slightly short. Probably depends on whether 418 receives 15 or 16 reg As mentioned on the 'Next route to convert to LT' thread the 71 is gaining 3 LTs. Not sure if for now or permanent but if it was then there's a good chance the ones from the 148 could end up there. If so then there will be a few VHs spare. I wonder where they could end up? The spare VH's could cover the 467, 293D and 655 (come to RATP in December). These routes are meant to have ADE's, being quite singled out, but could be converted with the 71's VH's for a more common pool of just VH's.

Not too sure what is going on with the LTs on 71 and 671, might be temporary whilst they are surplus. It is known (from TfL Board Finance papers) that £25-50m has been allocated to mid life LT refurb Those lower numbered LTs that RATP has date from 2013 (upto LT120) or early 2014 (LT121-150) so they are 7-8 years old already. I am guessing if central London cuts go ahead some could could move to school work, so maybe LTs will take over a number of school workings going forward. As some of the LTs are older than VHs and school routes often get eldest buses, seems reasonably possible. A vaguely remember similar speculation about LTs moving to school routes when the tender awards for GoAheads Blue triangle routes were announced with new hybrid contracts from September.
