Could some of the VHRs be on the 295? There's no reason to use VHRs, they can stay where they are. A previous post suggests that VHs currently being used on the 125 will be used, as well as some of the route 28 vehicles (Gemini 2 VH) now that route has a partial OME allocation. LOTS confirms that the 125 is due to be electric from tomorrow (Monday 24th October), using BCE 47138-47156 transferred in from Harrow and Fulwell to Edgware. If the 414 needs more buses I can see the 13reg VHs going to the route.

BCE47129 (which is at S) isn’t currently in use BCE 47148, 52 (of the 6 at FW) aren’t currently in use Generally on Sundays, the service thins out about 6pm after shops have closed, so still easy to transfer more, but I think the swap around will be done over a few days.

A suggestion was previously made around potential allocations at X following the Central London changes (if they go ahead), which I think would make a lot of sense. In that scenario, the 28 would logically convert fully to electrics using the C3's OMEs. Then the full 13reg VH batch could be used for the extended 414 to Putney Heath. And the ADHs (which are a more standard type at other garages) could go elsewhere, perhaps V or RP?

That was my thinking. The remaining SPs on the 71 were covering for the VHs and that when released from the 125 that would see the conversion of the 71 to full VH operation. There has been no mention of the BCEs arriving for the 295 or whether X has been installed with the chargers so it may be some time until the 71 gets its rightful allocation. There has also been mention that the 71 will have a part BCE allocation from those released from the 94 cut. That would allow the 203 to get some VHs early to its new contract. Once that happens I wouldn’t be surprised to see the 481 move into AV. The 94 could free up another 6 or 7 BCEs which coupd give the 71 a full allocation. The 71 can’t receive a full allocation of BCE’s as there isn’t enough - the redundant 94 ones would only give it a partial allocation as paulo mentioned

The 71 can’t receive a full allocation of BCE’s as there isn’t enough - the redundant 94 ones would only give it a partial allocation as paulo mentioned But what if it cuts to Marble Arch. That would be the 6 to 7 potentially free to complete the 71.

Nothing to suggest they couldn’t be moved this afternoon or overnight. In the past when the FW batch moved from SO and vice versa they were in service at one garage in the morning and the new garage by the afternoon. It’s entirely possible with electronic blinds and a quick pre service inspection.
